The mushroom followed after Len nimbly. It dove over leaves and vines and other crap that littered the forest floor.

Len let out a gasp of relief, "Really!? You think so?" Thankfully, too. It seemed like it has already been a year since they entered this weird place. He leaned off to the side, trying to get a better look.

((mine too)) Luka emerged out of the forest, Len shortly behind. "FREEDOM!" she screamed. "Now how do we get back?" she asked Len.

"Let go of me," Hiyama bellowed, trying for naught to release himself from the vines.
The tree slammed him against the trunk of another tree. Hiyama grunted in pain and his glasses fell to the forest floor.
"You stupid tree," Hiyama shrieked at the top of his lungs, temper suddenly rising through the roof. "Let me go right now or you will die a painful death!"
Nodoka glanced around, feeling useless and not quite sure if she could save him. And if the tree was actually going to eat him.

Slowly Ryu woke up and was surrounded by furries."What the heck...,"she said as she slowly stumbled up. With a quick glance she figured she might never get out alive. But those furres were nice right? With a quick hop she hopped over one of the furries only to get surrounded again. Tired of this she went back to the base of the tree grabbed her back opack and then started jumping and running thorugh the furries only to be chased.
Neru however went to go look for Ryu and saw that she was beuing chased by furries. Wanting to be a hero Neru ran after her and the furries."Ryu-chan! Wait!"she yelled chaising after them.

Katsuo jumped back slightly as a small spatter of blood flew from Taito's mouth. " Oh dear," Katsuo said worriedly. " We really need to get you help." (As if that wasn't obvious enough.) He gazed around the pit and realized that there was absolutely no way he could get Taito out of the pit on his own. The sides were tall and there were no footholds anywhere. Katsuo began to miss the great purple bear, for its body would've served as an excellent way out. The only things it left behind were piles and piles of rainbow confetti and fluff.
The mechanic was struck with an idea. "Okay, Taito, sir, lie down against the wall of the pit, please." He scooped up an armload of fluff and pressed it against Taito's chest wounds. As he hoped, it absorbed the blood immediately. Hopefully he would stop bleeding soon.
Then Katsuo looked up and shouted to Miisha, "Miisha? Miisha, I need you to see if you can find some vines up there. Or something. Ropes would be nice too. Do you think you could grab some? As much as you can?"
Miisha swallowed and looked around the forest. It was still day, but night would fall soon. She didn't like the notion of being stuck in the forest at night, but she had to help Katsuo and Taito. She spotted some trees in the distance with long green tendrils hanging from them.
"I-I'll try," Miisha replied weakly. She sped off to the tree, hoping she wouldn't lose her way back to the pit. She had to hurry. If she didn't Taito might....
She didn't want to think about it. Angrily wiping tears, she shouted silently to the forest, You can't defeat me! We'll get through you and go home, you'll see!

Taito didn't even bother move from his spot. The pain was really too much to bear and he decided to just let the world go by him, even if it meant that someone was going to kill him. All this blood from his mouth wasn't really the epitome of healthiness anyways.
Out of nowhere, another attack of pain rose through Taito's body and he fell into spasmatic coughs. Some blood got onto his aid, but of course Taito didn't notice. Blood trickled from his mouth and Taito tried to keep upright. It took everything he had not to faint.
(Dunno, I'm sick so I'll just do this. Sorry for the drop in quality if there was any to begin with~)

"Luka, let's build a spaceship," Len said, his eyes narrowed, and his hands clasped together. Maybe if they went back up into the sky, they could go back home! B U L L E T P R O O F. Except, where were they going to get the tools to make a ship? This idea was dumb. "Perhaps some of the people around here know what happened, and could give us some answers," He said, putting his hands in his pockets.

(Sorry sorry sorry for not updating so long aaaaaaaaaaagh *bows repeatedly and grovels on ground*)
Katsuo leapt back slightly as his charge coughed up more blood. " Oh... oh dear," Katsuo muttered. " I hope he's not dying. Please tell me he's not dying." He threw his head back and yelled at the top of his lungs, " Sooooooooomeooooooooooooooooooooone heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!" Unsure of what else he could possibly do to help, he kept on shouting and shouting and shouting.
Meanwhile, Miisha was having a hard time retrieving the vines. They were strong, so strong that they could, without a doubt, lift both Taito AND Katsuo from the pit. Unfortunately, they were also so strong that Miisha could'nt get them off the tree. She tried swinging from the vines. She tried to saw at them with a sharp stone. She even climbed up the tree and tried gnawing the vine off. Frustrated, scared, and her teeth aching, she slithered back down to the ground and began to sob.
" Oh why, oh why won't someone help?" she cried mournfully.

Mugi, an actual magical citizen of this magical world, wandered through the forest, a bag in his hand and a pair of metal tongs in the other. He stopped every once and a while when something interesting caught his eye, perhaps a purple and gold herb or a rainbow-colored mushroom. He carefully eased the specimen from the dirt of the tree it was attached to with his tongs and dropped them into small test tubes or jars in the bag.
Every once in a while, a butterfly or tree sprite would flutter past him and watch his work with curiousity before becoming bored and continuing on its way. Mugi was already proud of his finds. He found a cluster of silver flowers and a glowing green mushroom. The sun was high in the sky, proving that there were loads of time before night fell and he would have to run out of the forest screaming on the top of his lungs or spray on foul-smelling monster repellant.
Most monsters that attacked in the day were rather weak and could be fended off with simple Alchemy or Magic. Mugi knew basic magic and advanced Alchemy; he would have no problem. In the night, however, high level monsters of all sorts would be waiting happily to eat a tasty, weak human. Basic magic was nothing to them, and Alchemy was a joke. Mugi shuddered at the thought of a Forester Octopus picking him up and devouring him for dinner.
Suddenly, a call rang through the air. It was loud, proving the relative closeness of the source and seemed to come from..definitely a male. After a few moments of silence, the voice called again, then continued to persist, over and over again.
"Sooooooomeoooone heeeeeelp!" The man in distress called, again and again.
Maybe a young adventurere got caught in another huntsman's Purple Bear trap? The fur was expensive and well sought after, so there were traps all over the forest. Tons of inexperienced travellers were stuck daily, making easy wolverine meals. It really sucked to be trapped. Mugi remember when he was only six, tied upsidedown to a tree branch, with three Forest Squirrels closing in. Some man blasted them away with a mix of fire and light magic before letting him down.
Mugi ran towards the source of the voice. The poor guy. If he was trapped in a Purple Bear trap, he'd probably need someone to fix his leg after being released.
"Hold still!! I'm coooomiiiiing!"

Because Katsuo was still busy screaming his head off and ruining his voice, Miisha, who was some ways away, was the only one who heard an answering call.
" Hold still!! I'm coooooooooooooomiiiiiiiiiiiing!"
"Who's that?" she cried in excitement. Miisha looked around wildly saw a rather curious figure running her way. She laughed in glee and waved, squealing, "Here, here! Over her -"
Suddenly, the vines on the tree snapped out and tightened in a vice grip around her thin ankles. With a shriek, she was lifted bodily into the air and was left hanging upside from the tree. Its vines began to wrap around her body slowly, but she could feel them getting tighter and tighter by the second. Her orange sproing curls hung down like party streamers and looked like a rather pretty decoration hanging from the tree, except for the fact that there was a screaming body attached to them.
"Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!"

Mugi charged upon the scene, further motivated to hurry from the second scream. Suddenly, he froze and stared at the scened.
"Who hung confetti on a tre-" He saw an arm flail. "What the-?"
The girl kept screaming and squealing.
"Oh! Oh! Oh! I'll help, hold on! Hold on!"
Mugi rummaged through his bag and pulled out a vial. He slowly read the label.
"Dr. Gency's.. Exit? Nope." He kept seaching his inventory until he came upon what he was looking for. "Mr. Gency's Pest Repellant." In tiny words, it read, "For weak level monsters." And underneath it, "Type: Forest."
Mugi turned his head away and faced the test tube-like container towards the screaming Miisha. He popped out the cork, and a green mist slowly wafted out. It smelled strongly of a mix of cat pee, rotten eggs, and just plain dirt. And maybe there was just a fain whiff of dog doo?
"Please don't breath in, girl."
The vines suddenly shrunk back as if on fire. They began to writhe and tighten around Miisha--exactly what Mugi didn't want to happen.
"Hold on, girl, you can do it!"
Then, the vines released Miisha and disappeared into the bushes. Mugi capped his test tube and put it in another pouch of his bag. He'd have to dispose of the leftovers later.
Meanwhile, he ran to the girl on the ground. A drop from upsidedown didn't sound very safe.

Miisha whimpered and rolled over, coughing because of the fall, and because of the awful gut-wrenching stench that still hung in the air. After that fall, Miisha knew she would never hang upside down on monkey bars ever again. If this was what it felt like to fall upside down then it was better for it not to happen. Dang, it HURT. At least as she fell, she landed on her back, rather than on her head.
"O-ouch," she cried. Miisha merely lay on the forest floor, writhing slightly. "Is my back broken," she groaned to her saviour.
Then she suddenly remembered Taito and Katsuo, still trapped in a hole somewhere. She tried to shout but the breath was still knocked out of her. All that came out was another moan.

Mugi ran over to the girl. "Are you alright, Missy?" He tried to help her up after she asked if her back was broken.
"Here, if you can move, it's not broken." Mugi tried to sit the poor girl up. She moaned.
The leaves rustled slightly; many tree creatures were annoyed at the smell and shrunk back.
