"Len?" the new receptionist asked in surprise as she flipped through a stack of papers busily, trying to get used to her work around here. She eyed the girl in front of her desk, examining the small frame and large, hyacinth eyes. Must be another one of his fan-girls, they just never let him catch a break do they. The woman thought as she waved the visitor off dismissively, "Len isn't around at the moment, my dear girl."
The 'girl' in front of her frowned a little, wishing that they didn't change the receptionist. "Miss, I'm a boy."
He wasn't surprised at the startled expression on the other's face. Ai sighed a little, a female friend of his, had asked him to pass Len a letter since both of them go to the same recording studio. Unfortunately, they didn't talk often, not even once. Maybe Ai would see the other around at certain times, but he hadn't really paid attention to the blond up till now, when his friend had promised to buy him something in return for his 'good deed'.
Anyhow, it seemed that Len wasn't here. Ai figured he shouldn't hang around too much, he'll pass the letter to the blond the next time he dropped by or something.
[I'm so sorry for the lack of quality ;w;]

"No, I don't," The blonde boy mumbled furiously into his cell phone, "I don't care what color your underwear are! Stop calling me." He closed the phone and shook his head. He had no idea where these phone calls were coming from, or who was doing it. Or even how his phone number had gotten out to the world. He instantly blamed Rin. She always did things to pick on him.
He heard someone talking to the new receptionist outside in the next room. He poked his head through the door, overhearing the conversation. "Excuse me? I'm right here. Did you need me for something?" He asked. The new workers always did their jobs horribly. Never actually charting out who was in and who wasn't.
The lady pointed towards the girl in front of her. He'd seen her around quite a bit, but had always been too busy to talk to her. What was her name...Sai? Rhy? Mai? Then he remembered, it was Ai. And obviously not a girl. The lack of boobs showed it. The thought made him giggle a little.
"What is it that you wanted?" He tilted his head to the side a little. At the moment, he wasn't at all busy. For once. He usually was stuck either singing something, fighting with another vocaloid over something, or doing housework or chores. Aswell as dealing with perverted fans. He reminded himself to send Rin's phone number to a creepy old guy. Seemingly..he knew alot of them.
[Ah, it's okay. :'D I should be apologizing for that.~]

Ai was about to walk right out of the studio doors, when suddenly a familiar voice called out to him. The boy paused in his step to glance to the right, catching sight of the blond boy. Ai cast a look at the receptionist, who shrugged and went on with her work, seeing that Ai 'had found' the person he was looking for. He sighed inwardly, he really hated it when they changed receptionists, because the newbies always did their work terribly. Last week she had gotten an appointment of his dated wrongly, and he got into trouble for that bit. Plus the fact that she actually forgot him after that she had booked an appointment for him personally, was also more proof that receptionists nowadays were not being trained properly.
"Actually, I just needed to help someone pass you this." The maroon haired boy replied to Len's question as he walked towards the older boy. Ai rummaged around his pocket for a bit before picking out a little neat note, folded fancily to make up for the lack of a small envelope. "Here, it's from Sayuko." He told Len as he held out the note to the other. Then, as he quickly realized something, the boy added, "You know, the one with red hair."
He figured that Len had so many fangirls, that the other probably couldn't be bothered trying to remember their names. Perhaps he might recall Sayuko if Ai prodded his memory with a feature of the said fangirl.

Len blinked as he was given the note. It was indeed a quite fancy piece of paper he was holding. He hoped it wasn't another love letter. He got them constantly, which sort of depressed him. He couldn't ever actually reply to them. Besides, some of those fans were a bit...odd. He shivered a little.
"Could you tell uh...Sayuko, that I'm not interested in whatever she wants," Len mumbled, giving Ai the note back without even reading it. He couldn't bother himself with it. He didn't even remember who Sayuko was. There were too many people with red hair around.
"I'm sorry if I'm coming off as rude," The blonde boy mumbled quickly, to protect himself from getting scolded. He figured Ai was friends with said fangirl, and would probably get defensive. It happened alot. He had a bruise still left from a beating he'd gotten last week. Or maybe that was from Meiko? Eh, he couldn't remember.

Ai blinked as the note was given back to him. But he seriously didn't mind, because it wasn't his problem. The thing was that Sayuko could get pretty emotional, and he didn't want a sobbing, whimpering girl in his hands to take care of. Sure he was experienced in comforting the heartbroken of the female species, but he didn't enjoy it too much. Sure it sounded mean, but females required tons of attention when they had fallen out of love, and that means that he was stuck for a few hours of hearing them pour out their sorrows to him.
"Um, okay." Ai replied, already planning his escape when he returned to Sayuko with bad news. Hopefully she would turn to other females for comfort, instead of him. Just then, something rammed into his back, making the boy gasp as the air was knocked out of him. "Ai chan!" A feminine voice squealed.
"Please stop using that suffix!" The maroon haired boy hissed softly to the girl, that was another acquaintance of his. He was ignored though, as the girl turned to greet Len, her voice suddenly going all soft and shy. Ai was familiar with the sudden change in personality, girls were just like that.
"And I'll be going now~" Ai announced as he swiftly brushed Yuri's hand away from his shoulder. Time to leave and give the girl a chance to flaunt herself. Of course, seeing how Len had so quickly rejected a love letter, Ai was quite sure that Yuri's chances might not be so high.

Len groaned. A female seemed to have joined the boy. Was it his girlfriend? No, he could tell by the way she was looking at him. Why couldn't a single girl look at him normally? Was he really that attractive? All the boy wanted was to be treated normally. He was always either made fun of by other guys, or hit on by girls. He just wanted maybe.. some decent friends. Other than his fellow vocaloids. Sure, they were fun to hang out with, but he wanted more people to hang out with. Those with stories he could listen to and laugh about with them. Not just the boring life of a popular singer.
"Well, it seems you're a bit busy," Len mused as he saw the annoyance in Ai's attitude. He sure knew alot of girls. Poor kid. He was now starting to realize how much he couldn't stand women. They sure were hard to listen to. He then made a vow to himself that that only girl he would ever hold hands with would be his own twin. When she wasn't trying to break it. Or put him in girly clothing.
"I'll catch you later then?" Len asked, with a smile. He was ignoring the girl next to him with great ease. He hoped he and Ai could become good friends. He needed to be more 'manlier.' Like Kaito, or Gakupo. Well, maybe not that manly. Just..without muscles. He shivered as he got an image of himself being super muscular.

"It's not that I'm busy." Ai told Len as he leaned to the side. It's just that if he didn't get out of Yuri's way at the moment and leave her alone with Len, she'll probably kill him later, or something of the like. The boy sighed inwardly, he was now probably going to drop by the library or something, read a book maybe. Or perhaps borrow it and take it to the park to read. It was early autumn at the moment, the weather was cool, and the park would probably a burst of orange, yellow and red.
The girl was now trying to strike a conversation with Len, in a coy manner. Ai figured that the fangirls never did let him catch a break. Well, he couldn't blame them, Len was sorta cute in a way. Enough to make his sister go nuts over him a year ago. She managed to get out of the fever however, she was on to Kaito now. Ai had made friends with the older male after having delivered some letters and a few gifts to him from his sister.
"Sure, I'll catch you later then." Ai gave Len a slight smile, and was about to walk out when suddenly he was stopped. Again. Damn untimely calls that made him look stupid. They always came at the wrong time.
"Ai? Len? Just the right timing, I was looking for you both." Ai heard the voice of the song writer from the studio doors and blinked. What could the song writer want with the both of them?

Len was doing his best at trying not to be rude. He decided to pay more attention to what was going on outside. The room they were in had huge windows, so it wasn't that hard. He watched as multi-colored cars passed by, probably with children that had normal lives. Without fangirls, pedophiles, and all of the singing. He could feel his face burn with jealousy. He didn't even want to join this group. Actually, he couldn't even remember when he started. How long ago was it?
"Um, yeah," Len mumbled awkwardly, still a bit in his mind, "I'll see ya' la-" He was cut off by the song writer. What? Really? He just got done singing, and they wanted him again? He didn't really want to sing anymore for the day. His throat was starting to hurt, too.
"Why both of us? What do you want?" Len asked, biting his lip a little to suppress a snarky remark about how they work him too much. He didn't really like the song writer. Last time the Kagamine had suggested a song, it got declined. What's so wrong about bananas? Nobody would get the wrong of it. Surely..
Len reached down and unzipped his jacket. He had put it on because he was leaving, but he would probably stay now. He tied it around his waist just tight enough so it wouldn't slip off. He then looked up at the song writer, awaiting a reply. The new receptionist next to him was already busy with something else. She was paying no attention to them. He could already hear it in her mind, "Rotten Kids" or something like that.

"Please don't tell me it's about that proposal last week." Ai groaned as he recalled the meeting he had with Nanami the week before. It was on the next song he was going to cover, and song writer had suggested a duet with one of the other females. Ai didn't really like the idea, and so rejected it, but Nanami was insistent. The maroon haired boy was rather stubborn too, and so they had to postpone his next cover. Although, he didn't see why Len had to be here, maybe Nanami had to talk to him about something else. "No no, you see, I was just providing an escape route for Len here, who was getting harassed, as usual." The older female grinned as she fanned himself with the empty clipboard. She figured that being nice to them wouldn't hurt, they sang for her after all. Saving Len and helping the poor boy catch a break would probably be much appreciated by the blond. He was harassed by girls almost twenty four seven. And if he wasn't busy being harassed by girls, Len was singing, or putting up with Rin. It was so rare to find such a hard worker nowadays...
"...And so why am I here?" Ai asked dryly. If Nanami just wanted to save Len, she could've easily have done so without needing to drag Ai into this. The boy wanted to go grab something to eat, perhaps an apple or a peach, he was really hungry. Ai didn't have enough time to eat breakfast or lunch today, due to Sayuko and her pestering.
"Because Ai chan is cute." Nanami told the boy as she easily petted him on the head and exited the room she had called them into after adding, "you guys can use the backdoor for the second escape route if needed."
Ai twitched. "I said stop using that suffix already!"

Len tapped his foot impatiently. She was deciding to help him? Well that's a first. Or maybe was it because Ai was with him? Was she trying to impress the other? Eh, as long as it didn't involve him, he was fine with it. He'd never really heard the boy sing before. Maybe he had some potential after all? Well if Nanami liked him, something he does must be good.
"Really? Oh boy! That's a fantastic idea!" Len said with fake amusement to trick her into thinking he was actually thankful. He could have found any escape route within a matter of seconds. After all, it was mandatory for someone like him. He wasn't one of those people to get completely buried in women, like those super stars. But it did get annoying enough. Maybe he should just tell them the truth. Then again...what a mess that would be! Would anybody even like him anymore? He had to admit, the attention was great. Most of the time.
"Well..thanks.." Len said slowly, his hand slowly reaching down to grab Ai's wrist, "Off we go!" He turned to run, but stopped for a minute. "By the way, we're Men! Treat us that way!" He grumbled at her. He too gets picked on with the suffix. He wasn't a child anymore, and Ai looked too old to be called that. It was offensive and embarrassing.
The small vocaloid dashed out of the room, dragging Ai along with him. He figured the other boy didn't want to go back to his lady-friend, so he decided to take him along for the ride. He went out of the backdoor, instead of the other way. He hoped Nanami wasn't up to any tricks, which was why he went the second way.
As soon as he reached the outside, he drew in a deep breath, "What a great run!"

"You sound really sarcastic Len kun." Nanami commented as she watched the other drag a startled looking Ai away towards the back studio. The woman shrugged as the blond called back at them, she liked calling little girls with the suffix, chan. Ai looked so much like a girl she kept mixing up. Maybe the boy should cut his hair... There was a really good hair salon down the road. Nanami mused to herself as she exited the studio. The maroon haired boy needed a change of clothes too, something more boyish. The normal plain shirt and jeans he wore, were not say, girly, but they did make him look like one. Excluding the fact that he didn't have enough chest to prove himself a girl. Nanami chuckled to herself.
"H-hey!" Ai squeaked as he was suddenly dragged out of the studio. He immediately regretted sounding like a startled puppy, and tried to regain his composure. It was kinda hard trying to stay calm when you were running crazily down the hallway though, pulled along by another. The older male dodged a stranger as they ducked through the studio and across the room. What in the world was Len thinking? Was all that Ai could actually think of before they suddenly came to an abrupt stop after literally jumping down the steps. The boy stumbled forward, almost falling over before he balanced himself on the nearby fence.
The first thing that popped into his head was totally random, but he couldn't help recalling Len's shout into the room earlier, about them being 'men'. Ai was... A year older then the blond, who was at the current, fourteen years of age. Ai wouldn't really consider them as 'men', more like teenagers in early adolescence, but Len seemed always bent on growing up as fast as possible.
"Great run?" He echoed after the other after catching his breath. Ai wasn't what anyone would consider athletic. "Um, I guess?" He coughed. "I didn't know you liked running."
The boy paused, before breaking the silence. "So, what're you going to do after this?"

Len did a quick spin all the way around. The coast was clear. "Running away is sure fun. Now we won't be pestered~" He drew in a deep breath. Gosh, it was so beautiful outside! The trees were an excellent mixture of orange and red shades. Most of them were falling off, and mixing into small tornadoes in the road. He always wondered why they did that. He never really had enough schooling to actually know.
A car rushed pass them, blowing leaves in his pants. He chuckled, then looked over at Ai. "What am I going to do? Humph..well, I don't know. Maybe enjoy the rest of the day with a walk? Can't ever decide. Oh, and hopefully not get into trouble!" Len realized he was talking too much. He'd been so busy singing, and never really got to speak to anybody in such a friendly laid-back manner. It felt great.
"Well, I guess I'm off then!" Len said as he began to walk away. Then something in him felt..guilty? Maybe. He looked over his shoulder, "Do you erm..want to join me? It'd seem boring just by myself.." This was actually a big step for him. He'd usually walk by himself, which did seem boring. Most of the time. Then after a while he'd see someone he knew, or just head home. Making friends felt great, too.

Ai listened as Len rattled off his stress. He didn't know the blonde was so talkative, Ai always assumed that he was the kind that only opened up to close friends and such. He had seen Len with Kaito, Rin, Miku, the vocaloid gang in general, but either then that... Nothing. Perhaps Ai wasn't paying attention to his surroundings as much as he should be, or maybe he was a lucky guy that got to see Len's friendly side.
"I wouldn't mind, I have nothing else to do anyway." Ai replied slowly after careful consideration as he stepped forward to join Len. The blond had invited him to come along and have 'fun', whatever the other's definition of 'fun' might be, and after some thought, Ai thought that it might be okay. A good excuse to get away from Sayuko and the other girls anyway.
"So... Where do you want to go?" Ai asked, hoping he didn't sound too stupid. "I don't mind just walking if there's no particular destination you have in mind though." He added as he started strolling along the sidewalk first. Autumn was all over the place, everything looked so awesome. Ai could only wish that there was less human pollution marring the view.
The boy felt something rubbing against his leg suddenly, and he looked down to notice a gray cat. It was quite scrawny, obviously a stray. Ai bent down curiously as he petted the cat who pawed at him eagerly. "Um... Sorry, I don't have any food on me..." Ai told the cat in an apologetic tone. The cat didn't seem to understand and continued butting it's head against Ai's knee pleadingly.
[LOL. it's okay!]

"Really? Oh that's good then! I thought you would reject me and just y'know, go join your other friends," Len mumbled the last part and kicked at the ground a little. Gee, now that he was accompanied by someone else, he didn't know what to do. Or even talk about.
As he walked he began to realize Ai stopped. He turned around and immediately froze. W-was that a ..cat? He put his hands on his cheeks, "Aw!" That cat was just the beautiful start of his day. Well, the day already started but..gosh. It was adorable. He was strong, but he did have a soft spot for cats. Seeing as he had several songs about cats, or being a neko. They were elegant creatures, and could get easily out of trouble in an instant.
"Poor thing, I wonder how it got outside like this. Must have been out here for a long time!" Len said dramatically, "I'll be right back!" He then turned around and speeded off. He reached a store, which was an odd color of green. It reminded him of puke for some reason. Not that he's seen a lot of puke or anything.
He entered the store, and looked around the shelves. What would a stray cat eat? Cat food? Probably not. Didn't they like trash or something? He spotted a stack of tuna cans, and grabbed one off the bottom, almost knocking the whole pile over. Then went to the register. "Do you have a can opener?" It's not like he could open it himself. The woman behind the counter was of a young-ish age, and knew him immediately. Somehow she produced a can opener. That was one of the good things about being..erm..cute? Whichever way you could explain it.
He finally made it back to Ai and the cat, after loosing his way. He held the cut up fish in the air like it was valuable. "Ba-dum!!" He smiled, "Here you go kitty. No more hungriness." He hoped it liked tuna. Or well, it would have to just stay hungry. Len felt bad for it. Nobody would like to be homeless like that. He shook his head, trying to get any mischievous thoughts out of it.

"My other friends?" Ai blinked before registering the question. "Oh no, they're busy today, apparently getting ready for the upcoming mid Autumn festival." the boy told Len as he looked at the surroundings again. The festival was just next week, and everyone was looking forward to it. The mid autumn festival, wherever it may be held this year, was the perfect place to have fun. Even if you were going alone. Of course, Ai was probably going with his sister, or the girls, or the boys, whoever that got to him first usually. The boy had left the planning of outfits to his sister, Ai didn't feel like bothering with the clothing this year, he only hoped that his sister would pick out something reasonable for him.
Ai blinked as the blond suddenly shot off after a quick comment on how cute the cat was. That was... Fast. The maroon haired boy thought as the cat licked his fingers, demanding some attention from the boy who looked away from it. "Aren't you lucky that Len appears to like, er, love cats." Ai told it as he scratched it behind it's ears. The cat gave a short mew, as if agreeing with him, and Ai lightened up a bit by smiling slightly. It was not everyday that cats were so friendly, some preferred to stay wary, while some only came near after making sure everything was safe. This little one here didn't seem to have any fear of humans. Ai didn't know if that was a good or bad thing...
Ai played with the cat a little, stroking it and petting it. The blond was a little off time, perhaps the queue at the store wasn't as short as Ai thought it would might be. Just as Ai decided that he should go check, Len came running back, can of opened tuna in hand. In an instant, the cat who had so adoringly showered him with utmost attention and adoration for the past fifteen minutes immediately abandoned him for the blond, who had set down the food on the floor. Ai laughed a little as he stood up, cats will be cats, and after all, this one was hungry. Of course he, or she -Ai didn't check the gender- would want to fill up it's stomach first.
"So, the upcoming Autumn festival, are you going with Rin, Miku, Kaito and gang?" Ai asked as he approached the blond.
