"Looks like you've kept the kitty busy," Len smiled as he leaned over to pet the cat. He felt bumps in the cat's back. Which was probably matted fur. He wondered how many fights it had gotten itself into. It was sad, seeing as there were so many stray animals wandering around. The nearest animal rescue society was made up of a bunch of lazy men who usually only caught big dogs. Those dogs were sometimes given to police to get trained into drug-dugs. Len wondered if they were happy that way. If only animals could talk like humans.
"The festival?" Len rubbed the back of his head, trying to think. Gosh, he would've forgotten about it if Ai hadn't mentioned it. It was a big festival, too. Most of the time, his group of friends would preform, or just entertain other people while messing around like goof-balls. He remembered last year's ended on an odd note. Someone put a box of spiders in his pocket, and they broke out and-- Len shivered at the thought of it. He had a fear of the little eight-legged creatures. Whoever did it must've hated him. Well, it was good to not be completely liked.
"Hm..I don't really know. I think Rin is doing something with the others. I didn't really want to go with them," Len said, thinking of what could happen if they were all together in one place. He would probably be put on road roller duty anyhow. Which he did not understand too much. The road roller they had was like a pet..washed and bathed every day. Then fed..oil, and gas. He wondered what it'd be like if the thing was alive. Such thoughts scared him a little.
"What are you going to do?" The blonde boy asked with a tilt of his head. The can of tuna he'd brought was empty now. Dang, Len thought, that cat works fast. Must've been starving.

Ai watched as the cat quickly gobbled up the tuna ravenously like a tiger that hadn't eaten for days. It finished the can in a mere few seconds, and mewled contentedly while looking up at Len curiously, head cocked to one side, tail swishing side to side on the ground. Ai chuckled as he straightened, causing the cat to turn behind at the movement, before it looked back at Len. Looks like even though Ai was the one that played with it, Len was still the favored one because he fed it. Not that the maroon haired boy minded, he just didn't have a way with animals. Normally they were just neutral, or flat out didn't like him. Ai wasn't sure of the reason why, but it was probably because he didn't have a thing for communicating properly with animals.
"Why don't you want to go with them?" Ai asked mildly as he watched Len. The blond was always considered to be in the most popular clique, which consisted of Miku, Kaito, Meiko, Luka, Gakupo and Rin. Ai always thought that the blond was close to his clique, seeing that they hung out together so much. The seven of them probably sang at least half of vocaloid's songs in total, inclusive of duets and group songs. They hung out so often it was almost as if they were a family. Ai wasn't jealous of them, he had his own family too of course, but he did have his wistful moments when he wished he was just a little more popular as well. Although, seeing Len harassed by his fangirls twenty four seven wasn't very appealing. Perhaps fame came with it's negative points as well.
"I'm probably going to hang out with the guys, or the girls, or my sister and her friends." Ai shrugged nonchalantly as he watched the cat stretch lazily on the floor. "Whoever that gets to me first I guess. This year it will most likely be my sister, because I left my outfit to her." Ai told the blond as he gave his ponytail a quick retie with a snap of his wrist. It was getting loose, Ai could feel the waist length, wavy locks touching his fingers just then. It must be from the run.

Len glanced up at the sky, staring at the clouds that drifted ever so slowly by. "Hm..." He thought, then looked down. He still couldn't drop the fact that it was amazingly beautiful outside. Earlier in the year it had been so hot, and it made him all sweaty and smelly. Nothing's better than a sweaty Len, right? No?
"Believe it or not, I'm the one in our group that likes to stay out of trouble," Len said, "They're pretty dangerous sometimes." They sure were, too. He remembered a time when Meiko decided to cook something. What was it again? Ah, yes. The spicy ranch supreme soup. Made with extra soy sauce, hot ranch dressing, and chicken noodle soup. They whole group didn't want to make her feel bad, so they all tried it. They ended up being sick for days.
"Ah, that's cool," Len smiled, "It must be nice..Having all of those non-weird friends." He then watched as Ai tried to fix his pony-tail. He gained a wide smirk, and snickered a little. "I have a much better idea anyways." Earlier when he said he wasn't a trouble maker, that might've been a very tiny lie.
"How about we both go to the festival, but dressed up as girls?" Len asked. He reached back and grabbed his own pony tail, pulling it out, and letting it loose onto his neck and shoulders. He looked like a messy-haired Rin, except with very little masculine features that she did not have. "If we do that, I bet nobody will notice who were are. We could use make up and stuff to hide ourselves," He quickly retired his hair then folded his arms. He hoped Ai would agree to the plan. If not, he'd just made him self look goofy and probably make it seem like he loved to cross-dress.

"Are you sure? You look like the type to jump into dares and stuff similar to that." Ai replied skeptically as Len told him that he was the one who preferred to stay out of trouble in his little group. The maroon haired boy frowned, as in, with that missed up hair, cheeky face and that little glint in Len's eyes, it always seemed to him that Len was the kind that always got into trouble. He relaxed and smiled slightly when the other commented that his group was pretty dangerous, Ai could agree with that. Having friends among the other vocaloids, he had heard of the gang and their many 'feats'. Most of them were caused by a drunk Meiko, but no one could really expect anyone, especially Meiko, to behave sanely when drunk.
"Non weird friends?" Ai laughed a little, believe it or not, his friends were pretty weird too. As in, everyone had their own quirks. The thing was that, he probably found most of his friends weird because most of them were girls. Not his fault since his sister liked to bring him out with her girlfriends often. They didn't really mind, and neither did Ai, so...
"Crossdressing?" Ai blinked in surprise as Len suggested it. The maroon haired boy had been put through all sorts of outfits forced on by his sister, but that was one thing. Putting on a girl's outfit willingly without any protest was another thing. He watched as Len pulled pulled out his ponytail and grinned. Ai had to admit the other looked just as girlish as Ai did. "Umm..." He tucked a loose strand of hair behind his ear and eyed the other unsurely. If his sister caught him, that was the end of everything, but on the other hand, it seemed 'sort of' fun... Ahh, what to do?

Len was really enjoying his time with Ai. Not only was he not working, but also talking with someone ...who wasn't a vocaloid. Then again, he really didn't know what the difference was... Maybe he was a robot? He poked his stomach, but it was only squishy. Not hard and metallic. Although that would be pretty cool. Len could only imagine.
"Sorry!" Len drew in an awkward breath of air, "It's a dumb idea. I can do it by myself." Len had to admit he did enjoy a little cross-dressing, but it was mostly against his free will. If one of their directors, or Rin wanted him to do it, he'd reject. He bit his lip a little. Way to be a weirdo, he thought silently to himself.
The boy sheepishly grabbed the ends of his shirt, pulling them down a little in embarrassment. "E-eheh, I wouldn't want to bring you into my dumb schemes~" He smiled kindly. Just then he had heard a little scraping noise. He stared down at the cat, who was licking the edges of the tuna can. He leaned over and picked it up.
"Sorry kitty, You could cut your tongue on this," He said, heading over to a garbage can, which was just a little ways away in an ally-way. He sure would hate being a garbage-man. Singing is so much easier. Then again, what would the world be like without 'em?
"Um, You don't have to answer that question. We should keep walking though. Enjoy the weather while it's still a little warm," He said, marching ahead of them. He was wide awake, bustling with energy, and for once, wasn't bothered by anything. No fangirls, no work, just him and the world.
