He was so nervous. It was ridiculous, how nervous he was, but he couldn't help it. He fidgeted on the uncomfortable bar stool, picked at the wood, and basically did anything to not look at the time. This was the first time in weeks he had even bothered to leave his house, and it was to meet up with someone he'd been chatting online with for several months.
Hakuo wasn't even sure what he was going to say or do when he saw the other male. He hadn't even asked what he looked like, never once had appearance come up in their discussions. He wasn't gonna know which person was the one he was waiting for. Should he have written a sign or something? He really regretted not thinking of these things before.
Although looking around, he was pretty sure Meito would know who he was. The bar was basically him and the bartender anyway, why hadn't he noticed the lack of people in the bar in the first place? He chalked it up to nervousness, being too nice to think about insulting the appearance of the bar even in his head. It really was a shitty bar, why were they meeting there? So many questions. He continued to fidget.

Meito drove down the road, in his sexy car. He tapped his fingers on the steering wheel, nervous about meeting with his internet friend. Normally, stuff like this was frowned upon but they had just become such good friends that they needed to meet in real life. So they planned a meeting at a local bar not far from Meito's house. After a few minutes, Meito pulled into the parking lot of the bar. He slipped his keys into his pocket, then stepped out of the car. He locked the door, then walked inside. The bar was almost completely empty, except for Meito, the bartender and another man who was sitting there. Meito examined the man leaning over the counter, playing with the wood. He slowly walked over to him, surprised that the man hadn't even looked up yet. Meito casually sat down beside him, letting out a heavy and obvious breath. "Thup." He muttered, his voice afflicted by his lisp that Meiko forever teased him about. He pulled his chesnut hair from his eyes, then tucked it behind his pierced ears. When Hakuo looked up, Meito was almost surprised by how pale he was. The man was alot shorter then he had imagined, and almost looked albino. Meito would have never imagined that.

Hakuo glanced over nervously, still unsure of if the man next to him was Meito. He wasn't sure to feel about what he saw. He would have never imagined him as being so tall or so attractive in a completely platonic and not homosexual way. Though he heard something kind of strange with his speech, not that he could confirm it from one word. Maybe he was just hearing things from his nervousness.
"Hi..Meito?" Might as well confirm who he is so he's not randomly talking to a stranger, though why else would someone sit right next to him and blatantly start a conversation? But if it wasn't him he'd also feel horribly embarassed and probably end up apologizing until the man was annoyed with him. By this point he had stopped fidgeting on his seat but continued to pick at the wooden bar in front of them, a small relief and distraction from his thoughts.

He knew for sure that it was Hakuo when the shorter man said his name. "Hi." Meito beamed, rubbing the back of his neck. He didn't know quite what to say at this point, so he turned to the bar tender. He waved his hand, ordering them two drinks before he straightened himself out. The silence was awkward, seeming as there was no one else in the bar except for them. "E-Eh. So... did you find your way here okay?" He murmured. When the bartender set the drinks down, he picked one up and began to play with the ice in the glass. "You didn't get lost or anything?" His attempts were pitiful, but he wanted to at least try and make conversation.

Nope, there was something in his voice. He wasn't imagining it, Meito really did have something going on with his speech. He couldn't help letting out a brief laugh, even if it was kind of mean to do so. It's not like Hakuo had expected his online bro to have a lisp, on top of the list of other things he hadn't expected. "No, no, I found this place alright." He nodded to the bartender in thanks and pulled his drink close, examining it briefly.
Not his usual alcohol, but he would still drink it.
"I was just kind of surprised you wanted to meet here of all places. This place--" Whoops, the bartender was looking at him. He hastily changed the sentence. "--is just kind of farther away then I would have liked, I guess." He decided it would be best to just shut up, taking a swig of his drink. He didn't sip; sipping was for wimps who couldn't handle their liquor.

"It's just down the street for me." Meito beamed, amused that he lived only a block away, yet drove anyway. He ran his hand through his hair, then took a small sip, unlike Hakuo. He looked over at him, then chuckled lightly. "What's the rush? We have all night. ~" He chimed, a slight hum present in his voice. Of course, his lisp slurred his speech, but he hoped Hakuo didn't mind that. This whole expirence was somewhat... odd. Hakuo was nothing like he had imagined him to be. Meito lifted up his hand, motioning the bartender to get them more drinks.

Only a block away, huh? "How convenient for you." Hakuo said with a tinge of jealousy. He'd had to take the train from downtown to get there and he hadn't enjoyed it very much. Not that he was going to complain or anything. He simply downed more of his drink, smile in place.
But of course, Meito had to notice his drinking like a pro. He nearly choked on the remainders of his glass, already down to the dregs from his fast drinking. "Ahaha, I'm not in a rush. I'm just used to drinking faster than my sister so I wouldn't be the one responsible for transportation." Not that she was either, they always ended up calling their brother, but Meito didn't really need to know that. "I could ask you why you drink so slowly, but wouldn't that be rude?" Almost as rude as mentioning what you were going to say? Hakuo mentally kicked himself for being so quick with the liquor, he should have been patient but he hadn't.

As more glasses were set down in front of them, Meito rolled his eyes playfully. He pushed two more over to Hakuo. "Yep. So in exchange, I'm buying you drinks. Works out, right?" Meito beamed, laying his face in his hand. He figured that by Hakuo's statement, Meito would be the one driving home tonight. He would drive the other man home, most likely. So he would try his best not to get too smashed. Meito lifted his glass, then drank the remainders of his drink. He placed it down, then grabbed his next one. He let out a heavy breath, then looked back to Hakuo. "Are you albino or something?" Meito asked with pursed lips, tilting his head to the side. He knew that was a rude question, but he was a rude person.

An unavoidable choking fit happened as soon as those words registered in Hakuo's ears. He spent several minutes shaking, unable to recover. He was laughing far too hard. That was a question he had expected, just not so bluntly.
Or so soon, really.
Once he had calmed down enough to speak without coughing and after he had wiped away whatever tears had been shed, he answered the question. "Yes, I'm "albino or something". Though I don't think I was always this pale." He couldn't remember, honestly. He spent far too much time inside as it was, for his job and because he didn't normally like interacting with people. Meito was pretty ok though, he guessed. Ok so far, anyway. He couldn't help teasing though. "I wonder what tipped you off, the white hair or the red eyes?"

"Oh, I see." Meito smiled, tilting his head to the side for a brief moment before he took another long drink. "That would explain why I met you online, then. Rather then in person. Because albinos can't be in the sun alot, right?" He chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. "You would have thought we would have ran into each other by now, seeming as we both seem to drink frequently." Meito went on, tapping his red nail polish dipped nails against the counter. He then remembered Hakuo telling him about his drunk sister. "Do you steal from your sister's stash? I've never seen you around the city at any bar or liquor store, to be honest. And you wouldn't be that hard to miss." He laughed awkwardly, hoping that Hakuo didn't take that as an insult, because it wasn't. While Hakuo was easy enough to spot as it was, he was also quite good looking. To Meito, anyway. His face was thin, his eyes sporting dark bags. His midriff was somewhat exposed from his shirt, revealing his nice body. Meito pursed his lips. Hakuo was terribly thin, but it matched his height. Meito was alot... bigger then Hakuo, one could say, both in height and body weight. He choose to ignore this as he finished his second glass, then began to chew on the ice at the bottom of the cup, grinding it in his teeth.

Hakuo downed half his drink in one go before he spoke to Meito. This conversation sure was taking an interesting turn, to say the least. "Not just that I suppose. I don't know how long albinos can go outside, I don't care to find out. Never been outside long enough to test that theory~" Just thinking about how long he would need to be outside to even get the faintest trace of a tan made him dizzy. It was never going to happen. "Haku doesn't have a stash, she's not allowed. Neither of us are, we usually just whine to my brother for several hours until he goes out and buys alcohol for us. And as far as bars go, this is the first one I've been to in several weeks." He'd been inside, pestering his brother, occasionally doing his job, and playing video games. "So I guess this is your lucky day, being able to see me outside."
He probably should have had something to eat before he left too, but filling his belly with liquid was nice enough. He didn't eat much. Meito looked very healthy in comparison, not that he could tell just from looking over because he was not checking his online bro out. He wasn't a homosexual, thank you very much. Definitely wasn't enjoying the sound of ice being crunched by probably very near perfect teeth either, nope. Not enjoying it in the least. He finished his drink and ordered another, feeling a warmth slowly start to spread through his body already. He loved that feeling, it was quite possibly the best ever.
The feeling of intoxication. He wanted more of it, and soon.

The night rolled on rather quickly, as did the drinks. At this point, both men were wired. Meito was sitting backwards on his chair, leaning back and laying his head on the table, his chesnut locks sprawling out in matted folds. He chewed on the ice from his eleventh drink, grinding it in his teeth. "Ahgn.." He grumbled, frustrated as the ice wouldn't chew down any smaller. It was just liquid in his mouth. He angerily chewed and gnawed at it, but the fluids only managed to squirt from his lips and land all over his face. He coughed awkwardly, then grabbed his empty glass and dumped the rest of the ice into his mouth. He began to work at that, then looked over at Hakuo. The man was moving unsteadily, or that's what it looked like at least. "Hakuo," Meito groaned lazily, lifting his arm up into the air and waving his hand ridiculously. "Ice! G-Give me your ice!" He demanded, then letting his arm flop lifelessly onto the table. The bartender was giving them weird looks, and refused to give them anymore drinks for the well-being of both men.

Trying to remain on the bar stool, Hakuo looked over at his becoming-incredibly-more-attractive bro. It didn't help, the weird noises he was making too. Or the fact that his mouth was constantly in motion. Hakuo just kept staring at it, wondering how he wasn't biting his tongue with all that constant motion. It took all of his effort not to ask, and even more effort to listen when those lips parted to form actual words instead of just noise.
Ice. Meito wanted ice.
"Yeah, yeah sure just let me...ice.." Hakuo's words trailed off as he looked at his glasses. They were all empty with no ice in sight. He felt his heart being crushed: how was he going to help his friend out if he couldn't give him what he asked for? He looked back at Meito, tears in his eyes. "I'm sorry Meito." He sniffed, already feeling useless and ashamed. "I-I don't...I don't have any ice."

No ice? ... Meito felt his lips start to quiver as he stared at his albino friend, who had no ice in hand. How was Meito supposed to keep his mouth amused now? He felt his jaw quivering as he let out a loud sob. "H-Hakuo! H-...How..." He faded off, then began to wail rather loudly. The bartender rolled his eyes at the two men, going back to wiping some cups. "H-How could there be no ice?!" He sobbed, tears streaming from his eyes in fountains. He returned to his normal sitting position, then climbed onto the counter. He saw a puddle of vodka on the table, some that Hakuo had spilt earlier. Meito crawled over, then began to suck out the counter needingly, desperate for the heavenly fluid. When he sucked it dry, he began to sob again, bashing his fists angerily into the marble surface. "It's... It's not the same! Iceeeeeeeeee!!" He wailed, coughing on his tears as he hiccuped.

Seeing his friend upset tipped him off the deep end. Hakuo's sobs turned into a full-on wailing cry-fest as he flopped his head down on Meito's back. "I'M SORRYYYYYYYYYYY." He bawled, trying to give him a hug but failing. His arms were basically useless at this point anyway, like noodles hanging limply at this side. The best he could do was drape them over his friend while he sobbed. The bartender, having finished his cleaning, said something but Hakuo couldn't make out what it was. It was probably something important, but oh well. "I'M S-SORRY MEIT-TO, I DIDN'T MEAN F-FOR THERE TO BE N-N-NO IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE."
