Just then, there was a banging noise on the side of the house. It was soft at first, but kept getting louder and louder. It gave off a small echo, but that was blocked out by the screaming. A second scream, louder than the first ones joined in.
Then suddenly, the back door rustled constantly, back and forth as if someone were trying to get in. The door was thankfully locked. However instead, a large brick broke through the window next to it. A rough sound of glass breaking and chipping off came to the ears. The second scream died out.
A bloodied hand wrapped around the living room wall from the room next to it, then slowly, ...Len flopped out of the room, hitting the ground with a thud. His face was wet, either from tears, or sweat. Maybe a mixed cocktail of both.
"The... doors...w-were l-l-locked," Len panted heavily, his voice quivering as he said it. He had run from he and Rin's home, all the way down the street, peering into windows and hoping somebody was there. However, nobody seemed to be home. Maybe they were hiding? There were things out there... that just seemed unreal to him.
From what he could see, while still on the floor, was a group of people. There were the obvious Shion brothers, Kaito, Taito, and Akaito. Ryu and Neru...ah blast. Yuki was cowering on the floor, which he could possibly see himself doing as well. Oh and there was Luka too. How did they all get in here? Now his arms and hands were bloodied from trying to break open the window, and getting cut in the process.
If there was anything Len feared the most... it was unidentified monsters. Zombies, Swamp Monsters, Ghosts. They were all just too creepy! Once he'd seen one of those odd creatures, he screamed so loud he could've sworn his lungs caved in. The thing tried to touch his shoulder, but he wouldn't let it do that. He ran, as fast as he could, which was difficult enough as it is.
"S-Sorry," Len gasped for air, shivering on the floor out of fear, "F-for interrupting, i-it's just a little....c-crazy out there...b-but w-w-w-we have to get out of here!" He felt dizzy, almost as if he were going to faint. Thankfully, he wasn't. Hopefully.

(LONG-ASS POST wwwwww No really. It's really long. Longest post I've written thus far.)
Hiyama thought that he had made sure that only his cousin would knock on his door. All of his lights had been turned off and he had shut the curtains. After that he had hidden within his bedroom and flipped through random channels on TV.
When the grumpy teacher had watched about half of "The Big Bang Theory", he was interrupted by some hooligans banging on his door and windows. Hiyama jumped out of his bed and threw open the curtains. He grunted as he pulled the glass panes open.
"HEY!" he hollered loudly out into the night, "You guys are going way too far! I have no candy! Get off my lawn!"
The vandals looked up at him, eyes glowing, and mouths pulled open in animalistic snarls. That paint around their mouths really did look like blood... Hiyama shook the thoughts away. Nowadays, costumes always looked extremely realistic.
"Your costumes are lame," Hiyama bellowed, "You guys are ALL friggin' zombies! Get a brain and dress as something creative, you freaks!"
At that moment, Hiyama heard a cough and noticed something whizzing at him at full speed. He didn't bother check to see what it was--he was not about to let himself get hit. The object shot above his head and slammed into his wall. It turned out to be long and ropelike.
After it hit the wall, the thing started to recoil and disappear back out of the poor harrassed teacher's window. Hiyama was about to grab it and yell at whoever had flung that thing into his bedroom, when he noticed that it was... An extremely long... tongue.
Hiyama recoiled in disgust. "No way!" Was he being attacked by some freak show? Saliva had splashed off the tongue and was GROSS. Freaks or not, Hiyama wasn't huge on the idea of getting assaulted.
"TAKE THIS YOU FUCKHEADS!" Hiyama threw his dictionary out the window, hoping to hit whomever had thrown that tongue.
He watched the thick tomb sail over the street and towards a smoke-shrouded figure on the house's roof on the opposite side. It was a direct hit; the red-covered book smashed the creature on the head, which subsequently fell to the concrete below. Hiyama winced when the body impacted the ground.
However, the most shocking thing wasn't the fact that Hiyama had just murdered someone; the corpse exploded in a wisp of green coloured smoke with a sound that was suspiciously similar to a cough. The thick haze slowly rose and swirled in a light summer breeze. Unfortunately, Hiyama didn't have time to be entranced and perplexed by the burst of smoke.
Yet ANOTHER thing was flying at him. But this time, it wasn't a tongue. A person was somehow able to jump as high as his window. Now Hiyama really, REALLY didn't want to get hit. People were kind of heavy and it was never fun to get glomped. Especially by full grown jocks wearing black hoodies.
"Fucking fanboys!"
Hiyama jumped to the side feeling that he was NOT deserving this kind of punishment. The hoodie guy fell through the window and landed smoothly and silently onto Hiyama's hardwood floor. The emo guy, crawling on all fours, let out a low growl.
Upon closer inspection, the teacher noticed that the man had pale ashen skin, with a greenish tinge. His eyes were covered by his hooded sweatshirt, but dark facial hair was visible. Duct tape on the man's arms shone in the dim light from Hiyama's television. Altogether he was CREEPY. Another growl escaped from the man's ashen lips. He crawled forward, in a fashion somewhat similar to a spider.
Hiyama picked up his floor lamp and was ready to beat the guy on the head and call the police. But as soon as he picked up the electric light source, the hoodie hooligan dove forward, arms outstretched.
At this point, Hiyama noticed the guy's hands. He couldn't believe he didn't look at them before. At first glance, it looked like there were claws attached to the fingers. At second glance, it looked like there were BLOODY claws attached to the fingers.
Without a thought, Hiyama swung the floor lamp. It wasn't a concious command--fear made him react. It made contact with the leaping monstrosity's torso, which was flung out the window. The thing fell down to the grown below. Unlike the smoke grenade person from before, this thing landed gracefully before catapulting itself upwards toward the befuddled sensei.
SLAM! Hiyama pulled the shutters closed. Through the clear glass, he watched as the Freddy Kreuger slacker dude smashed into the window before falling to the ground once again, this time not so gracefully.
Without waiting to see what would happen next, Hiyama drew his brown curtains, shut off the television, and took refuge under his bed.

"SHIT, SHIT, SHIT, SHIT, SHIT!!"
Nodoka charged down the white hospital corridors, a snarling creature of a man hot on her heels. Somehow a boring work day had changed into THIS.
Every glance over her shoulder made Nodoka think that somehow, the insane man was still constantly changing. His right arm was swelling and bubbling and his torso seemed to inflate with muscle. The left arm hung next to the large body, tiny and thin in comparison.
The creature stopped running and Nodoka slowed down. She turned to see what would happen next. The creature shook it's large arm and looked at it's hand. It seeemed to be a bit surprised at the change in its body.
Then it looked up.
With a roar, the creature leaned forward and began to charge towards her at full speed. Nodoka swore and dove into a nearby hospital room. The used-to-be man ran past the door.
Nodoka poked her head out of the doorway. She watched as a nearby nurse, who had entered the hall to check what the commotion was about, get snatched up by the thing's right arm. The nurse screamed and was carried about four meters before the creature finally stopped.
Frozen with horror, Nodoka watched the monster begin to repeatedly smash the poor nurse into the ground.
"HEEEEEELP!!" The nurse was screamed and tears ran down her cheeks. Her head was shaken back and forth on her neck. "HELP ME!!"
The woman coughed and blood splattered onto her white t-shirt. Soon, her struggling stopped and the monster was pounding a lifeless doll of a person into the clean tiled floor.
Nodoka jumped out the window. It was the only escape she could think of, and letting that... thing catch up to her didn't seem like a very good option. Of course she was on the first floor, so it wasn't nearly as bad as it sounded.
After landing safely in a bush, she charged down the street, tripping only twice. Adrenaline sure did some amazing stuff to people!

It turned out that city-wide warm welcomes weren't real. Especially not in cities as large as Tokyo. Every single person who came to greet Iroha would much rather eat her flesh than give her a hug. Iroha kind of liked her flesh and didn't think bleeding to death was the greatest plan of action.
"Gomennya!"
Iroha powered up her kitty suit. These crazy people needed to learn a thing or two about personal space. Seriously, though. She didn't even know these people.
"If there's blood around your mouth, I don't want to give you a hug!"
Iroha didn't feel like blasting music this time. The night sky made her feel as though she might wake up babies who were sleeping if she did. The phonon blasts WERE kind of loud anyways, but they didn't need to be accompanied by blaring music.
She sent a few of the random running zombie-thingies flying as she skipped down the street. She needed to go to Hiyama's house--she had an appointment with her older cousin.
Most people who were blasted by Iroha's phonon blasts were sent flying, then lay on the ground, stunned. These Tokyo-ites were stronger than they looked; they immediately recovered from every hit and were back on their feet, rushing toward the kitty woman once more.
"Agh!" A squack came from nearby bushes where one of the zombies had been flung near. The body bounced, then fell into one of the ditches on the side of the road. It flailed in the water before sinking and disappearing into the murky water.
A girl crawled out of the shrubs and brushed the dirt off her blue scrubs. (THAT RHYMED) Iroha tried to wave to her, but it was kind of impossible at the moment, unless she planned on waving her leg. Which would be a bad idea, considering her thin body already had bad balance.
The girl ran towards her, yelling, "Help! Monsters!" while waving her arms. She stumbled over the curb and rushed to Iroha's side.
"Oh, hiya there. I'm Iroha! Nice to meet you. I'm just heading to my cousin's house. Wanna come with?"
"I'm Nodoka..." Nodoka seemed a bit miffed that the kitty girl was taking the situation so lightly. "I just want to live, so I don't really mind WHERE we go."
Iroha grinned brightly and shot a few more zombies. This time, she was aiming for the ditches. It seemed like these people couldn't swim.
"HA! DROWN IN HELL, BITCHES!" Iroha was getting caught up in the moment. "Oops, language! Tee hee!"
Nodoka decided to concentrate on watching the other woman's back and not talk to her. She was a weirdo, quite obviously, and if it weren't for the current circumstances, she would NEVER talk to someone like her. Especially since she was wearing that get-up.
"Um..." Nodoka kept close to the girl and tried not to get in the way. "Let's go then."
"Right, right! Just follow me!"
The odd pair walked down the street, sending people flying everywhere.

There was a moment of silence as everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Then Taito sprung into action and picked up the fallen boy by the window. Len's hands were bloody, and needed to be tended to.
"You stay still; I'll take care of him."
Taito walked to the nearest first aid kit and slowly washed Len's wounds; gently washing the blood away from the cut and applying a dressing. It was a much harder process when one had to ignore a thick smelly substance on his back.
It was nice to know that the screaming was only coming from a little boy. Where was his sister, anyways? The dark-purple haired man was interrupted from his thoughts by a strange loud noise.
A large horde of screeches and howls was nearing the Shion household. Everyone in the house froze.
Yuki slowly looked up from her cowering position. The smell from the bubble thing before was giving her a headache. And something was approaching, and it sounded scary. Yuki watched the window quietly as the others looked around. The disgusting noise was really close now, and LOUD. It was horrible.
Just then, at least twelve people showed up in front of the window. They didn't stare or anything, and maybe they wanted shelter. At least, that's what Yuki was hoping before they ran in through the hole in the window, diving towards the little crouching girl. Everyone backed up and Yuki somersaulted to the right, instincts kicking in.
More insane-o humans showed up in front of the window. How many people had shown up?
Taito headed downstairs carrying Len's unconscious figure and stared at the horror. He didn't even make a sound, but the monsters looked up at him, probably noticing the odor on Taito's back. They all charged towards the man, and he flipped over the railing to prevent himself from hurting Len.
Wiping tears from her eyes, Yuki snatched up the lamp she used earlier and dodged another monster. What were the others doing? No matter..
"RUUUN!!"
(Wasn't well written because I was tired. @_@)

Ryu and Neru did as they were told. Wait but before they did they made sure everyone was out the house first. They were the last ones out because they had to keep their backpacks on their backs.
Neru then darted after the others. Ryu was trying to keep up aswell. SHe and Neru were doing a very good job f doing that. Also Zombies were hot on their tails. She and the blonde girl were scared.
Soon the blonde and the ebony-haired girl were infront of their fellow friends. They were scared. What in the world was going to happen? They didn't know. ALl the knew were that they and their friends were being chased by zombies. ((Soerry for short post...i gots to go...))

Seriously, if Kaito had a black out one more time, he'd die. Especially because there were zombies and drunks flying everywhere. It appeared his subconcious self had decided to hide cowardly behind something; oh, the bookcase. He cringed and tried to scoop up the melted icecream dripping from the container.. wait, he still had it? WOW, KAITO WAS AWESOME!
He was surrounded with diseased drunks that seemed to have some kind of acidic tumors on them, and he still kept a hold of his ice cream! Kaito was a regular Chuck Norr- and suddenly, he couldn't move. The bookcase! Something was pressing against it! And now he couldn't move! FUCK!
"Uwaaaah!! Taito-nii! Akaito-nii! Someone! Help poor Kaito-san! His ice cream is spilling everywhere and it'll be wasted!" He shouted, unaware that the drunks could probably hear him and come to ea- WAS THAT A FUCKING TOUNGE?! Something had shot through the bookcase, nearly hitting his head before smashing into the wall behind him. Seriously, what the hell? The thing retracted, and he breathed a sig- FUCK THERE IT WAS AGAIN, RIGHT BESIDE HIS FUCKING FACE.
Kaito was in for it. So, he did what any person might; scream.
"TAITO-NII! AKAITO-NII! SOMEONE! HEEEEELP!!"

As the young ebony-haired girl was running, something in the back of her mind was bugging her. Maybe she forgot something. Quickly Ryu stopped and turned around. She ran back into the Shion house.
Sure enough there was Kaito. And the thing she had come upon earlier. She sighed and smashed the thing on its tongue. It recoiled back. Ryu growled and pulled Kaito from behind the bookcase.
"Come on or you will get killed.,"she growled. The thing got up and growled in her direction. The ebony-haired girl growled and smashed the zombie's head in and made sure it was dead. Of course she got blood on her.
Sighing the teen pushed Kaito out the house."Start running now!"she growled starting to run so she could catch up with the others. More zombies were coming and she didn't want to get killed.

(She sure growls a lot.)
Outside the house was a swirl of confusion and horror. If inside was hell, outside was worse. Zombies converging from all sides; what brought them over? It was scary how many people could be coming at you all at once.
Howls and roars filled the air. Yuki desperately dove ahead. She remembered in the zombie movie she just watched that one bite would mean it was over for you; the person who was bitten died and came to life as the undead.
With all of this thinking, poor Yuki didn't examine her surroundings close enough. She lead the entire group to a dead-end. The brickwall at the other side seemed to mock the little girl as she attempted to scrabble up the bricks with last minute desperation.
_____________________________________________________________________________
In the midst of the horde, Taito was lost. There were too many creatures and for some reason, most of them were going after HIM. It was hard work to try to dodge attacks when one was carrying an unconcious 14-year-old in his arms too.
The goo on Taito's back was warm and starting to tingle a bit. Well, that's what a person gets for having puke on their back for a long time. The smell was pungent, and beginning to give the poor man a headache.
And diving all over the place wasn't really fun either. One monster managed to even scratch Len on the shin with its claw. Good thing it was the bite that mattered, right? Couldn't Len wake up already and make life easier?
Taito, without realizing it, separated himself from the group and ran down the street. He couldn't help but wonder if the giant mass of zombies chasing him down looked comical. That wasn't really important anymore, however, when a long ropish structure flopped next to him on the pavement. What WAS that?
The rope(?) retracted itself. The thing flew towards Taito once more and he managed to jump out of the way...into another rope-thing. Was there two? The rope--Wait..It dripped saliva; was that a tongue?--wrapped around Taito's neck and tightened.
The young man dropped Len to the pavement. He could hear Len yelp in pain. Hopefully the boy had woken up, because Taito wouldn't be helping him anytime soon. Taito choked and gasped for air as he was forcefully smashed to the ground as well and dragged towards a tall building.
There was no thinking at the moment, only pain and panic. It was hard not to panic when one was being deprived of oxygen from someone's tongue, anyways. How often was a person strangled by a tongue?

Kaito looked momentarily thankful that she'd saved him - but then she growled. Of course, being the boy he was, Kaito was kind of a wimp, and so he decided that this girl must obviously hate him and therefore had saved him out of pity.
Oh well. He still ran like hell, aiming for wherever he could really go. His main objective was to get away and eventually find his brothers, and then figure out a way to sur- FUCK! THERE WAS ANOTHER ONE! ANOTHER TOUNGE THING!
Kaito had meant to get out of the way, but he'd ended up tripping on something - warm and fleshy, he hoped to God it wasn't a corpse - and fell to the ground. Of course, it was then that his icecream sailed through the air, bits of melted sugar flying straight onto the monster's face. He could hear it screaming, flailing wildly as it tried to get the ice cream off it's eyes - but failed, accidentally clawing the damn things out in the process.
It then promptly fell over, letting out a low hiss of pain, as Kaito merely looked up, confused and distraught.
"Nooooo!! My ice cream! Damn you, God! Damn youuuu!!" He cursed, doubling over from the sheer grief he felt. There was no reason to live anymore. His ice cream was gone. And the thing was still groaning. Wait, it sounded kind of high-pitched for a freaky drunk monster.
Kind of like someone he knew. He looked cautiously behind him, noting the bright yellow hair and the shota-like appearance. Oh, he'd tripped over Len.
He turned once more, staring at the monster, before quickly growing a pair of brass balls and threw a bunch of concrete rubble at it's head, cringing when it began to twitch. At least it was dead.. he hoped.
And now, it appeared that his situation.. kind of sucked. He was alone - well, Len was there, but he was injured, it looked like - and there was a hopefully dead monster beside him. So, Kaito did what he did best.
Cry.
"WAAAAH!! TAITO-NII! AKAITO-NII! SOMEONE, HELP ME!!"

During the whole process of everybody getting attacked, Len could barely hear anything. It was more like a loud roaring noise, or perhaps it was as if he were underwater. Who was holding him? Oh, it was Taito. He tried to say something, but it kind of came out as a mixed up jumble.
Then he felt his head smash against the pavement. "Augh!" Len groaned, gaining an immediate head-ache. He blinked his eyes wildly, managing to catch the view of Taito. It was more like a purple blob. Ah, what was that next to him? A rope? Oh crap it was around his neck. Taito!!! He blanked out again.
A sharp pain hit him in the side, causing him to wake up, releasing another long gasp of pain. He tried blinking a bunch of times, hopefully getting his vision to clear up again. Thankfully it did, slowly, but eventually clear enough for him to see. He stood up, his head pounding in pain. "Gosh, what the hell happened?" He glanced around, seeing Kaito in front of him. And...what was that? It looked dead, but there was no telling what was what anymore.
Len wobbled a little, trying to maintain his balance. Last time he checked he was inside. He guessed the purple shion had taken him out here? Oh god oh god. What if they get attacked again? M-m-monsters...last time he was out here...there w-w-was so many of them. Where had the all gone?
Len whimpered, his fears getting the best of him. He told himself that they wouldn't hurt him, and they did not exist. It was a dream, right? Then he felt a stabbing pain in his hand, head, and side. No, this was very much real. Pain was the easiest sign of being awake. So...they...were...really...there!?
Come on you idiot, be the man you've always wanted to try to be! Len grunted, trying to ignore his thoughts of getting his brains eaten or worse. He began to have a quick fight with himself.
Finally, he looked at the ground, searching for something. He found a shard of glass. What good would that do? He shivered, knowing it was no use. He dropped the glass, looking for something else. Maybe Kaito knew what to do? Probably not. They were both useless cry-babies. Len scowled at his own thoughts, I'm not a cry-baby! Well... actually... He sniffled, "I don't like this at all..."

A scream ripped through the air, shrill and far too loud to be out in the street. Kiku felt a cold knot in her stomach as it tightened with every scream that answered, followed by the sobs of her mother and the sharp crash of glass breaking. Her father stepped in front of her, a human shield to whatever horror had entered the house. Her mother's screams continued, a mass of gibberish in to her ears, before being cut short with a wet snapping noise. The echo of cries surrounding the house, however, were far more chilling. Suppressing a shiver, Kiku pulled her father into her room and quietly closed the door, locking it and pushing her bedside drawer in front of it. It wasn't exactly heavy, but it was solid. Definitely enough to block the door from whatever was on the other side.
Just as her father was about to say something, his mouth poised to converse, a banging on the door interrupted him. They both turned to look at it, to make sure it was holding. The attacker on the other side wasn't saying anything, at least not in a language Kiku knew. They just kept screaming and the door kept going bang, BANG, BANG and more screams could be heard approaching. A coldness against her fingers startled her from her thoughts, forcing her to look. Her father had taken her knife from under her pillow and pressed it into her hand while she had stood there, shell-shocked.
It was her only defense, their only defense, against whatever it was on the other side of that door. But she wasn't going to let it be, it wasn't safe. Gesturing towards the window, she crept as quietly as she could under the sound of her door and pulled back the curtains. No one was near the window, the street deserted in favour of her house. "Dad, let's go, we have to leave!"She silently shouted, trying to be strong and only somewhat succeeding. Her father nodded and followed as she opened the window and climbed over the sill, dropping into the soft grass of the front yard with the barest of audible noise. As he was about to do the same, the door slammed open and Kiku got a closer look at who was in the streets and in her house.
He didn't even look human, not really. Covered in festering boils and rotting skin that couldn't possibly have only recently happened, his hair was greasy and his eyes wild. Clothing stained in substances Kiku couldn't even begin to fathom kept her from viewing even more of his disgusting skin but it was enough to make her gag. The people crowding into the room, approaching fast, were much the same. The smell was unbearable, her father was terrified, he couldn't leave and all she could feel was her heart beating faster than she had ever thought humanely possible.
She was scared.
She never got scared, she didn't know what to do and she was loathe to do this but she had no other options. She took the cowards way out and ran as fast as she could away, her hurried scrabbling off the grass almost causing her to slip and land on her knife. Her screams, the ones she didn't realize she was making, echoed behind her in the voice of her father as she left him behind to save her own skin. The streets weren't safe though, she knew that, and so she did quite possibly the dumbest thing she could. She screamed louder and shriller, trying to attract any human attention she could. "HELP MEEEEEEE" Her mouth managed to shape as she ran and ran. "SOMEBODY, PLEASE, OH GOD PLEASE HELP ME PLEASE! PLEASEHELPMEHELPMEHELPMEEE"
(Oh my god I missed so much, aaaahhh : A: Am I still even allowed to post? askjdhas Also hope everyone's cool that Kiku just totally left her father to die. :I No, she is not a hero.))

How did this happen?
The tongue was known to be the strongest muscle of the body, but Taito didn't expect to be dragged around by one. He was pulled towards the building the origin of the tongue was perched upon at a fast rate while fighting to reopen his airway.
Taito grasped at the rope-like tongue around his neck as he hit the wall of the building. Slowly but surely, the man was hoisted up, thus constricting his trachea even more. Taito began to lose conciousness as darkness began to play at the edge of his vision.
Meanwhile, away from Taito's notice, a puff of smoke blew out from a nearby building. A dictionary bounced out of the cloud and flew towards the Taito's assailant. It contacted with the creature, and it disappeared in a small explosion of smoke.
Taito was immediately released and dropped to the ground. Stunned and confused, he lay on the pavement staring at the sky. The dictionary; which had hit the monster earlier, bounced off a few window sills and some adjacent buildings and flew towards the street.
No, check that, it flew towards Taito's face. The tomb smashed him in the forehead and the poor dazed man in the forehead and he lost conciousness right then and there. That was obviously not good. Lying asleep in the middle of the road during a zombie apocalypse is not a great idea.
______________________________________________________________________________
Yuki panicked. There wasn't much to say. She did the things a normal, panicking person would do. The little girl freaked out, cried, screamed, and desperately attempted to scrabble up the brick wall. Her little fingers bled and tears ran down her cheeks.
The infected were closing in on the alley way. One of them began to dive towards the little girl. She froze with a mix of fear for her life and guilt for leading her friends into a death trap. The monster seemed to move in slow motion...

Luka ran, she ran as far away as she could. She didn't know what was happening. All she knew was she should run. Run like a cheatah. She didn't even look behind.
Luka finally reached an alley which appeared to have no zombies. She rested by the smelly dumpster. "Why does this stuff happen?" she said to herself. She then remembered Ryu, and Kaito. And everyone else. Luka quickly ran to where they where. Only to be attacked by some monster. It was definently not a zombie...
