With cicadas shrilling and a sweet summer breeze blowing every once in a while, it was truly a beautiful day. An extremely beautiful and HOT day, unfortunately.
Taito sat on the leather couch in the living room. He laid back and closed his eyes. A sweat droplet formed upon his forehead before slowly making its way down the cheek and hanging on the chin. It hung for a few seconds and dropped down on Taito's chest below. The bandage wrapped around there soaked it up immediately.
Why was each day intent on outdoing the last on heat? Couldn't they all just agree and stay a nice CONSTANT temperature? Taito absentmindedly tugged at the bandage wrapped around his neck. They didn't breathe at all, but he didn't want to tug them off and bleed all over the place. Think of the stains on the carpet!
Taito tugged off his coat and wiped more sweat drops from his face. Then the tossed it off to the side and lay down on the couch in a new position. It was cool. For a while, of course. Then Taito's own body heat warmed the leather and it became sticky and uncomfortable.
The young man groaned and rolled off of the couch. BAM! He hit the hardwood floor with a thud. Not bad, it was cool as well. This could work. Every time the floor was heated up, Taito would roll to the next spot and let the heat pass to the boards. It seemed like a good idea at the time, until Taito smashed his foot into the leg of the coffee table and upset the stack newspapers.
Taito sighed and cleaned up the mess. Today was boring, hot, and..BORING. He sat around for another ten minutes. Then he headed to the bathroom for lack of anything better to do. Might as well relieve the bladder before something fun happened. That would ruin the fun, wouldn't it? Maybe he could splash some water from the sink to cool off, too.
Playing with his dark purple bangs, Taito stumbled over to the restroom and opened the door. It was actually slightly cooler inside. And a had slight breeze. Yeah. A breeze. Sure, that worked.
No wait, it didn't. Taito looked around. Was there a draft in the house? That's when his eyes settled upon the mirror. Maybe it wasn't a mirror. A good mirror would show a reflection of Taito and the bathroom wall. This one gave the image of a forest clearing with trees and birds fluttering about.
There was a clear blue sky with not a single cloud. A turkey vulture circled above the pine tree forest that spread across the scene. A small creek slowly sloshed its way around a few rocks and disappeared in the woods. Some wild flowers dotted the small glen and a brown rabbit hurried along.
Did Kaito install a television screen in the bathroom? Kaito tended to do the strangest stuff. It was good quality, but where did he get the money? Taito squinted closer at the screen. Man, even up close the pixels didn't show. This must have cost a fortune.
In the midst of thinking, the young man then did a very, very stupid thing. He lost his balance. Mr. Moron's face fell towards the screen. Whatever money was spent on the television screen was probably gone to waste now. Taito closed his eyes as his head busted through the screen. Well, he EXPECTED it to bust through. Instead, it seemed to let him in, like water.
Taito tumbled into the forest glen and made sure to roll during the landing to prevent any possible damage. The brown bunny that stopped to nibble a plant turned to face him and darted into the trees. Now this was NOT normal. Taito was pretty sure bathroom mirrors didn't do this often.

Ryu was laying down on the wall beside the stairs. She was hot. She had on a spaghetti strap white shirt. With a pair of light blue jean short shorts. She had on white knee socks which she folded down. Sighing she slumped down the wall. But accidently slid down the stairs. She wasn't that hurt. She just scratched her arm.
Once she was at the bottom of the stairs she noticed Taito wasn't there. He had said he might be there all day. Well whatever. Ryu was now kind of worried. What if something bad happened? Out of worry she searched the house. She searched to Kitchen last. There she grabbed a container of icecream, some cold sodas , a few sandwhiches, and some key-lime pie slices.
Smiling she put that in a back pack full of ice. Soon she felt a draft coming from the bathroom? Curious she went to go check it out. Gulping she stepped inside the bathroom. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary except for the mirror. Wasn't it supposed to show her reflection? The ebony-haired girl sighed. She was only in socks but she had her shoes in the bath room. she quickly put on her converse and poked her hand through the mirror.
It wasn't supposed to go through the mirror. Shocked she leaned forward and lost her balanced. She flew through the mirror and rolled over doing a roll technique. She gasped and looked around. Finally she noticed Taito."Taito?,"she asked."Where are we?,"she asked.

Luka was walking to the Shion house. She liked going to see those wacky brothers. She also liked to go see Ryu. Those were two out of the five reaasons she liked to go there. She knew that chaos was happening so she just walked in. She noticed no one was in the living room. Which is weird.
Luka quickly ran to the restroom to wash her hands. She turned on the faucet and the refreshing liquid soothed her dry hands. She then noticed something that was odd, odder than anything in the Shion house. Kaito replaced the mirror with a Hi-Def Plasma screen TV. It seemed almost realistic. Luka touched it, let's just say it was not a TV. She was taken through a portal and landed somewhere inside a bush. Luka crawled out of the bush and brushed dirt off of herself. She noticed Ryu and Taito. "Ryu! Taito!" she said.

"FINALLY! It's complete! It's finished!"
Nodoka put her arms back down to her sides. They had been raised in a dramatic, mad scientist style. And now she felt stupid.
Hiyama put his coffee down onto a nearby table and sauntered over to examine their work. He and Nodoka had been working to create a machine dreamed of by children and wanted by many people... The time machine.
"It's done, huh?"
Hiyama looked at the giant hunk of metal. It looked quite ramshackle, with scrap metal carelessly nailed together. As long as the insides worked though...
"Let's test it." Nodoka smiled confidently at her newest work. She was never much of an engineer, but hopefully her latest attempt would be adequate enough! If this beauty actually worked... Nodoka could just imagine the prizes she would get.
Hiyama gingerly poked the tin container with his pointer. It held together, but was it just him, or did it wobble? The door was pulled open by the black haired girl and she excitedly jumped in. The teacher followed afterward, not wanting to get left behind, and a bit worried about his own clumsy handiwork.
"Let's go 3000 years in the future," Nodoka said, punching "3000 y" in the keypad.
"Wait, what?"
The enter button was pressed before Hiyama could make further protest. A loud whirring filled their heads, and the metal floor vibrated beneath their feet. Nodoka's fists were squeezed in suspense; Hiyama's were in anxiety.
And then silence greeted their ears.
Nodoka cautiously opened the door, and the weak hinges creaked pathetically. A quick examination of their surroundings did not disappoint the young woman. It was completely different from the basement the doctor and teacher were previously in.
"People in the future sure like ice-cream!"
Hiyama agreed. Empty cups of Haagen Daaz decorated the room and was scattered on top of a bed with blue sheets. The walls were covered in blue paint as well, and the night table was stacked with empty cartons of the frozen delicious treat.
Nodoka ran out of her time machine to explore the rest of the house. Hiyama could do nothing but follow after her, hoping no future people would come and see them trespassing.
The rest of the house looked quite normal and neat. Nodoka rushed past it all, searching for any life forms. Her slipper slipped off her foot and flew in front of her, and she rushed to shover her foot back in.
As she did so, she suddenly felt a breeze. She didn't know where it was coming from. Hiyama, who had rushed after her, smacked into Nodoka's back, and she pitched forward and scraped her legs on the floor.
"Oh, sorry."
Nodoka ignored him and ran towards the bathroom area. She skirted the bathroom slippers on the floor and opened the toilet room door. Nothing out of the ordinary. Turning, Nodoka threw open the door to the bathing room.
"Future people are weird," Nodoka commented, looking at the large scenery on the wall where the bath mirror should have been. "I guess they wanted someting to watch while they went, eh?"
She nudged Hiyama, who didn't find that comment funny at all. He walked into the bathroom to look at the painting that looked suspiciously like a television screen or something. Upon closer inspection, the teacher noticed that the breeze was coming from screen. Which must be a window instead.
"Why the hell would you want this big-ass window in your bathroom?"
Nodoka shrugged. People were crazy. Maybe it was a one-way window? Nodoka saw three figures that looked suspiciously familiar... It looked like... Taito, Luka, and Ryu??
"Hey, what are you guys doing in the future?"
Nodoka dove recklessly into the mirror, Hiyama close on her heels. And she fell through. The two fell a few feet before landing on Ryu, and her heavy backpack.
Dented cans of soda spilled from the bag, along with a few squashed sandwiches and melted ice cream. The ice-cream spread on the dirt below, completely ruined. One of the cans was leaking.
Hiyama was on top of Nodoka. He moaned and rolled off. The fall was kind of unexpected, and he had hurt himself.
Nodoka wasn't huge on getting landed on. It hurt, especially when elbows were driven in her stomach. And whatever she had landed on didn't soften the impact at all. It was stiff and hurt.
Ice-cold water soaked Nodoka's clothing, obviously originating from the ice that was packed in Ryu's knapsack for some unknown reason.
During Nodoka's attempt to stand, she heard some more squashing and squishing noises, and the key-lime pie was flattened and squishy, and beginning to leak out of the bag between the ruined zippers.
Everything that was in Ryu's bag had been completely ruined by Nodoka and Hiyama's landing as well as the summer heat. Uh-oh. Nodoka hoped Ryu wouldn't hold it against her.
"So, Taito-san," Nodoka said nonchalantly, "What are you doing in the future?"
(I'm tired. Meh. I'll edit it later. Sorry for the crappy writing, but I was a bit rushed.)

Taito looked around. This place looked exactly like what the "television screen" showed. Where did he come in here from? Taito looked up to the origin of where he fell. Nothing but the clear blue sky. Well, that sucked. Getting back home didn't seem quite possible.
All of a sudden, appearing out of thin air, Ryu tumbled out and rolled to spread the force of the fall.
"Taito? Where are we?"
She was wearing very skimpy clothing, especially for someone who was only beginning her teens. A backpack was mounted on her back. Was she planning on going on a trip? Water was dripping from the backpack. But that wasn't important at the moment. Ryu was wearing short shorts.
"Hey, what do you think you're wearing?" Mr. Overprotective Father (?) asked. Before an answer was received, a crash sounded next to the two.
And pink tangled mess came out. Luka? She stood up and brushed some dirt off herself. Yes, it was definitely Luka. The said woman looked up and noticed Taito and Ryu.
"Ryu!" she said, her face lighting up. "Taito!"
Taito stared blankly. Two others had joined him in the clearing. How the hell did this happen? Taito looked around, forgetting about Ryu's revealing attire.
"I'm not sure what this place is..." Taito mumbled, looking around alert for possible dangers, "but we should probably find a way out." After examining the clearing, Taito realized how little of an idea he had on where to go.
Suddenly two figures dropped down on top of Ryu. Her backpack's contents were ruined and spread across the meadow. Soda, ice cream, and pie flowed and mixed into an ungodly and horrible disaster. Ryu was underneath a grown man and a small girl. That didn't seem too comfortable.
The man glasses with now messy brown hair. The girl had long black hair and also wore glasses. Ryu just lay underneath the pile of hell. Then the mess of people and ruined food items began to untangle. Nodoka stood up and looked at Taito.
"So, Taito-san," Nodoka said nonchalantly, "What are you doing in the future?"
What. What. What? Taito stared at Nodoka as if she was insane. She probably was, anyways.
"I'm not in the future, am I?" Taito stared blankly. (Before you guys get confused, the time machine only ended up transporting Nodoka and Hiyama to Kaito's room. Dzetsu and I planned this bit out.)
He shrugged off Nodoka's and the brown-haired man's confused stares to continue finding a direction to leave the secluded glen. There was a long moment of awkward silence. Taito finally spoke, of course directed more to Ryu and Luka than the newcomers.
"Why don't we follow that creek?" he pointed to the brook that lazily continued on it's way. "It won't lead far, but maybe we might walk far enough to reach civilization." Taito's reasoning was pretty screwed. They had no bearings. How the hell could one just chance upon human habitation?
Before anyone of the group could react, Taito began the journey and disappeared into the mass of trees. If they decided not to follow it was their loss.
Inside the forest was cooler than the clearing. The trees provided a vast amount of shade, and damp rotting dead leaves squished underfoot. Mushrooms dotted the trunks and forest floor. A footpath was conveniently running along the brook.
Taito didn't notice one mushroom poke out its legs and arms and follow after him. Nor did he notice the flowers turn their heads to face him, their leaves rustling slightly.

Len smiled triumphantly as he happily walked down the street's sidewalk. In his arm, was a bucket of ice cream that he managed to snag before they were all sold out. He figured he could go share it with his favorite ice-cream consuming friends. As he came up on the house, he squinted to see that the door was hanging wide open. Oh, dear, what was going on now?
The fourteen-year old stepped up to the door, looking around with caution. A breeze brushed pass him, pushing the door shut. Before it could close, he put his foot in front of it. He didn't want to be locked out. Something was obviously up. Or... maybe some idiot forgot to close the door after entering?
Len trotted inside, shutting the door behind him. He looked around, seeing a lot of scattered things left on the floor. He sat the ice cream on the table and looked around the house, "Hello? Is anybody there?" After a moment's worth of waiting, there was no reply. Instead of searching the house, he decided to get a spoon from the kitchen, and sit down in the living room. He just sat there by himself, nibbling on the cold sugary desert.
It had been a few minutes already, of sitting there alone, waiting for someone to come home. He had already forgotten the mystery of the opened door. Although, he remembered something else. He hadn't gone to the bathroom in a long while! He should've gone before he came over, but was in too much of a hurry at the time, and slipped up on the chance to do that.
Len sat up and wiped his mouth off. After stretching and cracking his back, set aside the fact that he really hadn't been sitting there for so long, he wandered over to the Shion's bathroom. It was kind of rude to hang around their house while they were not home, but he always felt as if they were family. He, and them. Maybe not Ryu, since she wasn't too close to him, but the others, obviously.
The bathroom was freezing. There was an odd breeze flowing through, as if perhaps a window was still wide open. He shrugged and went over to the toilet, unzipping his shorts. As he went, he stared around the room. That breeze was making everything so uncomfortable! After he finished, pulled up his pants, and flushed, he decided to go and close that window. Just in case an animal, or something else would think it's a fun idea to hop into people's windows.
Len located the source of the cool air after a quick second of searching. What was that? Oh everybody was outside, that's why the door was open! How silly of me to not check first, he thought with a little giggle. He went to go open the window and call out to them, but as soon as his hands touched the edge of the so-called 'window' he felt himself falling forward. "Kyaa!" He instantly leaned back, trying to not fall. Although it seemed like he was being pulled into it, rather then falling forward. He tried to fight it, but eventually lost. It was starting to make him a bit dizzy.
As he fell, he squeezed his eyes shut, not wanting to see himself plummeting downward. His curiosity got the best of him, and he decided to open them. It seemed like he was pretty high up, because the ground was so far away. He couldn't see everybody else any more. As the boy came falling down, he flinched as he was about to hit the ground. He had already said a few last words, but wasn't so 'scared' as he should be, because it already seemed like some strange dream in the first place.
Instead of hitting the ground, Len felt something give him the worst wedgie. "HAAAOUCH!!!" He screeched, his eyes already watering up. He didn't even touch the ground yet? Why...where? Len looked down at the ground, which was about five feet down. His underwear had gotten caught on a tree branch, which saved him, at the cost of an ever-so painful wedgie.
"Ack! Someone! Anybody?!" He called, kicking his legs back and forth, trying to release himself from the tree. He couldn't do it. For some strange reason, the tree was holding onto him tightly. ...and a couple of vines were already wrapped around his legs. What was wrong with this tree? Was it fast a fast growing plant or something? He heard some faint voices nearby. Oh, maybe it was the others he'd seen earlier? Hopefully they'd heard him, and would help him get down from there. He decided to make more noise. Then, he'd felt a vine wrap around his neck. Ohhh godddddd
[Trying to mix some things up |D Also, I believe this is my longest post oh boy! ... definitely not re-reading this right now eAe;; ]

Luka heard the banana-loving(teehee) boy call for help. Her motherly instincts rushed her to his side and looked to see what happened. Something was giving Len a wedgie. Luka looked but could not see the person or thing. She tried plling Len out, noticing his tidy-whities she laughed and looked at him with her "seriosly?" face. "Everyone help me!" Luka called. She knew Ryu would love to help.

Ryu sighed and remembered one of her bags landed by Taito. Smiling she got up and ran over to her other bag. SHe opened it and peered inside. Everything was inside."Thank Goodness...oh and Taito I can wear this I was really hot dude...,"she sighed.
Then she looked around everyone. Luka, Taito, Hiyama, Nodoka, and Len? How did they all get here anyway? Well that didn't matter now. Smiling she stood up and grabbed her backpack. She always carried it in her hand. Then she took a step forward.
"I am not staying here...I am going to explore and see how to get out...,"she smiled. Sighing she looked around and then took another step. But she didn't know where she was going. So she stood there and waited to see if the others were going to follow.

(I was like, half asleep when I wrote this. Haven't looked it over and won't look it over.)
Taito quietly walked down the footpath. Time seemed to pass as slowly as the brook dabbling next to him. The forest was silent except for the wet squelching of rotting leaves underfoot. Occasionally the wind would rustle through the tree branches and a bird would call, ringing through the forest air.
Taito turned around to see if anyone followed after him. A bag was sitting in the middle of the road, and Ryu ran up to retrieve it. Okay, weird. The little teen ran off and disappeared. Weirder. But other than that, no people he recognized had decided to trail behind. Fine then. He would go alone.
The little mushroom, who had hid when Taito turned around, poked out its little stubby legs once more and ran after him. It was curious about two legged creatures with long fur on their head. What was something like that doing in the woods? It blinked its large, marble-like eyes and blinked for a few seconds. Then it hurried after the young man.
A breeze blew once more, and Taito shivered. For the summer time, it sure was cold. Things always seemed disproportionately cold in the shade because there was no sun to heat up the area. He sighed and kept up with his journey. Maybe walking barefoot in only a pair of pants wasn't such a great idea. Maybe if there was civilization, Taito could buy a shirt. And shoes. The wet leaves didn't feel so great between the toes.
A twig snapped behind Taito. He whirled around and faced the possible danger. Whatever was sneaking up would sure face a lot of trouble.
"..."
Unfortunately, 'whatever was sneaking up' was not around. As Taito scanned his surroundings, he found nothing of interest. There happened to be a large mushroom the size of his hand in the middle of the footpath (did Taito pass by that earlier?), but that was it. A little suspicious, Taito returned to walking.
Another twig snapped. But this time, it was in front of Taito. It was slightly ahead, around a bend in the path. Cautious, Taito peeked around the trees. His jaw almost dropped open at the sight.
A squirrel, or maybe not considering the circumstance, stood around the same height as Taito and was eating the remains of a deer. The animal, no monster, tore at a rib with its massive paws and gnawed on the bone. What the hell? Where ever the mirror or television screen or window or WHATEVER lead, it wasn't a very normal place.
"What in the world..." Taito murmured under his breath. The squirrel-creature, probably having better ears than a human, immediately turned and faced the young man's direction. Its red eyes glistened in the sunlight that shone through the leaves and snarled. It bared huge fangs and drool dropped from its mouth.
Well, shit.
The giant rodent roared, definitely something a normal squirrel wouldn't do, and dove towards poor confused Taito. Just in time, the victim ducked and rolled from danger. The squirrel landed and turned once more. It prepared its claws which had white poison glistening from them. Unbeknownst to Taito, one drop of that stuff under your skin would put you in a state of awful paralysis and then shut down the rest of your body. This really wasn't the definition of a squirrel anymore.
The huge monster swung a claw at Taito, who had to jump back and ready his ice pick. Stupid thing, he thought confidently, you don't know who you're messing with. Obviously it did, because it lashed out its paw and knocked the ice pick from Taito's hand. A thin cut formed on the back of the hand. Okay, this thing was faster than he expected.
The rodent thing charged at Taito once more. Taito turned and jumped out of the way just in time before his knees gave in. That wasn't so good. The squirrel had an easy meal now. It stared at the downed body and growled. Spit fell onto Taito's head, but he couldn't wipe it away. His arms....they were so heavy. He knew he was doomed at this point.
The squirrel stepped forward and almost trod on the fungus that watched the entire battle. It squeaked in protest and swung some spores out of anger. The squirrel, extremely and dangerously allergic to the substance, squealed and swung at them. The it fell down as its throat closed up. Well, that was fast. The speed of the death was pretty surreal.
Taito fell face forward. It didn't matter if the squirrel was dead. He was going to follow it soon. He closed his eyes and waited for the pain to pass and hopefully kill him. The little mushroom ran over to sat its bottom on Taito's wound. It began to suck at his..blood?
Great, Taito thought bitterly, [/i]Another creature here to kill me.[/i]
The mushroom continued to suck and suck until its stem swelled and the eyes spun. Then it fell over on its back and didn't move, except for an occasional twitch from the legs.
Taito had to admit, even though he was dying, that the thing was rather cute. He sighed and involuntarily slapped at a mosquito lit upon his arm. Wait, what? He experimentally wiggled his fingers. Somehow, mobility had returned to his limbs. The mushroom began to secrete a mysterious liquid from its cap. That thing had saved his life!
Grateful, Taito picked it up (and was careful not to get the secretion on himself) and placed it on his shoulder. Maybe he would keep this around more often. And maybe heading back to stick with the others was a better idea. He head off back to the glen to see if his friends were still around.
The mushroom slowly opened its eyes. It kicked its legs out of fear from the height, but they calmed down and enjoyed the view. Looks like Taito had a new pet.
(Whoa, it's pretty long for only one character. @_@)

Ryu looked at where Taito had once been. Confused she went the way she thought he was. Sure enough there he was. Wait. What was that thing with him? The yong ebony-haired girl didn't know. Well whatever. Smiling she went up to Taito."Soo um what are we going to do?,"she asked.
~~~~~~~~~~~~ Neru was at home. She had recieved a text from Akaito. Or someone. She didn't recognize the number. Well it said to come to the Shions. Sighing the blonde pulled on a yellow tanktop and white short shorts. She had on yellow flipflops. Sighing once more she walked out her house with her cell.
In about ten minutes she was there. Sighing she barged in and looked around.It seemed as if no one was there. Hmm weird. Confused the teen looked around and found no one. But when she looked in the bathroom. She got confused. Raising abrow she leaned into the mirror and fell inside.
