After sobbing for a long time, Miisha ran out of tears to cry with. It was well into the morning by now. Tired from crying, she rose slowly and stumbled towards a sound that was wonderfully familiar – running water! As she kept walking she realized it was a river. And beside it, there was a village.
People! Civilization! Miisha forgot what Mirai said about talking to strangers and ran towards the village.
It was a simple place, and as Miisha wandered in, she noticed it was full of life. She saw a few children running around playing, and many adults were bustling around carrying things, or busying themselves in large fields. A few women took notice of her and whispered to each other. Miisha wiped her face and gave them a big smile.
“Hi,” she tried to say, but her voice cracked. She hadn’t forgotten her dilemma, and thinking about it made her cry quietly once more. One of the women clucked sympathetically and went up to her.
“Oh, you poor child, you look lost! How did you get here? Is there anyone else with you?” she asked gently.
Miisha sniffed and croaked, “I’m *hic* lost *hic* and I wanna go *hic* home...” Suddenly she saw someone she recognized. Wasn’t the man sitting on the well one of Kaito’s brothers? His back was to her, but his hairdo certainly looked like Kaito’s. He also looked strong too. She wiped her eyes and smiled at the woman.
“Thank you, but I’m with him.” Before they could say anything, she ran in front of the man to say hello. She stopped dead when she saw what he looked like. A scary stranger!

Taito closed his eyes and thought for a few minutes. Ryu had been kidnapped and taken away by a large monster. For all he knew, the poor girl was dead and dropped for dinner to be eaten by the creature's young.
There was no use worrying, though. Nothing would get done if he just sat there all day thinking about the possibilities of her death. Taito examined the mountains in the distance. Could the monster have taken Ryu there? The mountain range looked snowy and cold, though. It didn't seem very likely.
Suddenly a girl walked up to him and stared. She looked scared. Her pigtails were long, orange and curled like drills. Her red-orange eyes were widened and her jaw was slacked slightly. Maybe she was a village child who took a dare to poke him and run. Oh boy.
"Hey." Taito spoke in a slightly growly voice to try and scare her off. "What do you want?" To add to the image of a big, bad man he narrowed his eyes and glared at her. That'll teach her to treat him like some sort of zoo lion.

Miisha opened her mouth, closed it, and opened it again. She began to regret coming up to the man in the first place. His threatening growl caused her to be even more scared than she was before. Miisha began to tremble, but she was rooted to the spot.
“Um... um..... I, um.....” she stammered in a tiny voice. Tears sprang unbidden into her eyes. She sniffed and swallowed a sob. I have to be brave! She told herself. There’s nobody else here who’s probably from my world. He might be my only hope! Maybe he came here the same way I did? Okay, I have to ask him.
Miisha took a deep breath and stared as levelly as she could at the taller man. “Um.... I’m Miisha.”
Silence. She gulped and tried again. “I’m Miisha,” she said in a louder voice. “I fell through the mirror at your house, and now I can’t get home. Um...” She realized that she hadn’t given much thought to who the stranger was. “Are you, um, related to Kaito Shion?”

Taito blinked. Oh, so it wasn't a village brat. In fact, this girl was from the same world or dimension as him. Miisha wasn't quite familiar to him, but he remembered seeing a cute girl hang out with his brothers. The memory was far off, but maybe she was the same girl?
"Oh, uh yeah." Taito nodded slightly. "I'm his older brother. I fell through the mirror too."
He felt a bit guilty for frightening Miisha now. She was shaking slightly and had tears in her eyes. Oops. Taito personally didn't like children, but she was so cute and scared. She was probably in need of a parental figure to keep her in check. If she ran off, something might kill her.
Taito knelt on one knee and placed his hand on Miisha's shoulder in a comforting manner and tried to look like a good guardian.
"Are you here all alone?"

Len just sat there, staring at the growth-mass forest thing in front of him. "Ohhhh god, we totally can NOT go in there! Do you understand how dangerous that crap? Taito and Ryu are doomed, that's a definite answer," He groaned, putting his hand on his forehead. What was there to do? They were probably being choked by trees, or getting their limbs torn off by rabid animals.
He looked down at the mushroom, his eyes narrowed. "And you...do you know how to save them, if they are worth saving?" He reached down, carefully patting it on the head. Oh god what if it was dangerous too? It already bit his shoe, which thankfully didn't hurt his feet, but there were things like werewolves, and stuff. Changing with the midnight moon. Or was it full moon? Bah, blubbering nonsense!
"Luka, what are you're ideas?" Len asked, looking around, "Any that would actually work?" He felt like a sitting duck.
"And I'm getting tired! I wanna go home!" They had been there all night, and yesterday, it was starting to become hopeless? Bah, he wished he'd never went to Kaito's house. This wouldn't have happened.

“Are you here all alone?”
The concern (or attempt at concern) in his voice was enough to make Miisha burst loudly into sobs. She nodded quickly, blubbering and sniffling. She immediately forgot about his rather intimidating manner from earlier and started wailing even louder, not realizing the disturbance she was causing around her. Several villagers turned and stared at the unusual people standing by their well, some of them suspicious that the scary looking stranger caused her to cry like that. How the heck were they supposed to get their water when a freaky bandaged man and a blubbering weird-haired girl were standing by their only well?
Miisha tried to speak through sobs and hiccups, but she was unable to stop, and that fact made her cry even louder. Her face was thoroughly wet from tears and snot now. Out of habit, she dashed forward and buried her face in Taito’s shoulder, soaking his clothes. She hiccupped.
“Are we the only ones here from this world?” she mumbled sadly and looked up at Taito. "Did anyone else fall in?"

Taito cringed. GROSS. Children were DISGUSTING. Mucus and tears soaked the bandages on his shoulder(as he had taken off the coat in his living room. He regrets that now.) and felt wet and slimy upon his skin.
“Are we the only ones here from this world?” The small girl looked up at Taito with watery eyes. "Did anyone else fall in?"
Taito bit his lip. "Ehm.." He didn't want to tell Miisha that yes, many people fell in, but he had left them behind.
"We got separated..but Ryu-san, Haku-san, Luka-san, Len-san, Noune-san, and Hiyama-san came through." He decided to explain a bit. "Ryu-san was taken away and the rest are off somewhere." That was it. There wasn't much else to say.
A young girl sneaked up from behind and retrieved some water before dashing off. No one wanted to get involved with these two strangers.
Taito sighed and patted Miisha comfortingly. "Where do you think we should go? We can't stay here all day."

Miisha snuffled and bit her lip. That was a lot of people lost in this world as well. She no longer felt as lonely, and Taito no longer seemed to be as scary. She did wonder where he got all those bandages. Was he always getting hurt or something?
And where could they go? Who knew what could be out there in the forest. The prospect of adventure both excited and scared Miisha, but she knew she shouldn't let fear get in the way of morality. Wait, that was the wrong way around. Logic get in the way of fear? Or was it logic is in the way of common sense? Alpha said so many "smart" things that Miisha mixed them up sometimes. She backed away from Taito slightly and noticed the mess on his shoulder. Oops. She hurriedly wiped away the last of the wetness from her face.
" I wanna rescue Ryu-san!" Miisha said in a determined voice. " Maybe we'll see Len-san and the others while we find her! I'm sure they're looking for her too."
Miisha noticed the stuff that Taito had bought. Suddenly her stomach growled noticably. She giggled.
" Um.... do you have any food?"

Miisha's determination was surprising to Taito. Most children weren't very strong. But then again, they were always stupid and desperate to play the hero of most tales. They were stubborn and said more than did or else they tried without thinking and failed. Hmph. Children.
"Alright then," Taito said with a sigh. The tone in Miisha's decision sounded strong. There was probably no use persuading the child otherwise. "Remember that if you slow me down, I'll leave you behind." That was a lie, but Taito didn't want the girl to make Ryu's rescue to slow.
Miisha, still in her determined pose, had her stomach growl rather loudly. She giggled and looked up at Taito.
"Um.... do you have any food?"
Oh. The kid was actually really cute sometimes.(Though Taito would NEVER mention that.) He examined the survival pack but dried food was for travelling. It wasn't a good idea to waste provisions before even starting.
"Here." Taito grabbed Miisha's hand and walked back to the general store. He gestured at the array of merchandise on the shelves. "What do you want?"

Miisha was quite surprised by the sudden kindness Taito showed to her, even holding her hand and guiding her to the general store for some food. She gazed at the shelves and tried to decide. Some of the cans and boxes had strange pictures and food names on them. Well, it wouldn't hurt to try something new, would it? Not that Miisha was brave enough to try new things very often. Miisha was really quite a picky eater.
She looked around at the area where fruits and vegetables sat in large bins. What was that? There was a strange round fruit that glistened like a dewdrop, and a root vegetable that was blue with purple spots. Was that even edible?
She decided that maybe a fruit wasn't so bad to eat for now, and picked out a drop-shaped golden fruit about the size of an apple. A sweet, appetizing smell came from it. She lifted it up and showed Taito.
" How 'bout this?" She smiled. " It smells fruity! I think it'll taste good. I wonder if this grows in our world..."
The shopkeeper came over with a small smile on his face. He gazed uneasily at Taito and said to Miisha. "Ah, would you like to have a little taste to see if you like it? Then you can buy more than one...!"
Miisha looked at her pick and took a small bite. A sweetness so delicious filled her mouth that she had to swallow quickly to keep herself from drooling.
" It's yummy! Can we bring some with us, Taito?"

Normally, bringing fruit along in a journey was a really, really bad idea as they tended to rot and mold quickly. But the look on Miisha's face seemed to tell Taito that there was nothing to worry about; she'd finish them in a few days if he didn't buy too much. Besides, she was really happy.
"Alright.." Taito sighed to show that he didn't quite care what she wanted. "I'll get you a few." He reached over and plucked out a paper bag. Then he place exactly five fruit into the bag. It would be nice to enjoy something naturally sweet before getting stuck in their travels and surviving off of packaged foods.
Then he picked another five fruit of random assortments to try later. Whatever was in the fruit section of the general store had to be edible, right? The store keeper smiled and ran back to the counter. He picked up the bag and placed it on a squat frog.
Taito stared silently as it let its eyes glow a soft blue for a second. What the fu- The amphibian croaked out, "Three pounds." Taito found himself jumping back with a, "Holy sh-" but managed to stop before he gave a bad example to a certain child next to him.
The shopkeeper gave Taito a funny look. "Geez. You've never seen a Gewig Frog before?" He shook his head muttering about caves and monkeys then calculated the price.
"That will be 4 silvers." Taito made off with only four 100 yen coins. (The ignorant shopkeeper didn't realize how much a deal Taito was receiving.)
Taito plopped the bag in Miisha's hand. "Eat as much as you want."

"Len... We should find Haku! I saw her earlier! I'm not sure why... Let's look for a place with people! And look for a bar!" Luka said quickly.
That was a good idea. Luka knew that if they found Haku that the truth would be shown. Even if Haku said to follow Len around she... Wait, Luka has to listen to Haku. She seemed to know what was happening.
"Actually, just try to find them… Trust your gut..." Luka whispered.
