Yuki collasped a few times. Getting through a desert was near impossible. The only things that kept her going was that moving oasis at the edge of her vision and that vulture that wanted to eat her.

Miisha groaned and rolled over. " Hunnnh?"
Weak and tired, she didn't feel like sitting up, so she opened her eyes and looked at the person who was poking her. " I'm not dea - Waaah!"
She immediately clambered to her hands and knees and scrambled backwards, eyes wide. " You're... you're.... you're the intruder! Th-the one that busted into the school!" Miisha sat with her back against the stone wall, trembling. Was the girl going to hurt her?

Nodoka sighed and rolled her eyes. She was going to be stuck with this brat. She put her hands over her face. The young girl's voice was already getting on her nerves.
"I'm not going to do anything," Nodoka grumbled. She turned and lay on her side. "Now go away."

Len held onto a tree branch, in a feeble attempt to keep himself standing. Gosh darn! The cold weather was nipping painfully at his skin. He could hardly feel his limbs anymore. How many fingers did he have again? Right. Twenty six...Ten.
He tried to climb down, his right foot first. He realized that he was a lefty, and ended up slipping and falling. Len tried to grab onto something, but the snow and ice kept him sliding and tumbling down the steep hill. He finally flipped off a cliff, and landed into a puddle of freezing cold water. "Gosh darn it!" He grumbled, cursing underneath his breath.
Len, rather than standing, just kept sliding down on his butt until after a long while, he reached the bottom. Yes, along with a couple extra shivers, and sneezes. "Finally!" He said, reaching his arms up into the air. As he did that, he could feel a pulse of heat shower over him. Woah. Wasn't he just on some weird funky ice mountain?
Len turned around, looking at the Mountain, then back to where he was standing. A forest. Great. There was no telling what the heck he was going to find in there. Just as he prepared to enter the thick woodland area, he heard a familiar voice.
Two round, and excited eyes darted over to the right, and he caught the hopefully glimpse he was expecting. It was indeed Haku. He could tell by the smear of gray that her hair created with the heat waves dripping from the sun. Speaking of which... if it was so hot... why wasn't that ice and snow up there melted already? ... No matter, questions could be asked later.
The fourteen-year old made a mad dash toward Haku, his hands waving excitedly. "Hakuuu!!" He exclaimed, before skidding to a stop. How far away was she? What if he was seeing a mirage? Nah, those things didn't exist. Right?
After walking towards her for a couple of minutes, he ended up bumping right into the woman. "Oof!" Len said, letting out a breath of air, "Oh crap. Sorry, but Haku!! I can't believe it's you." He was really happy. He didn't like to be alone. Someone had to comfort him, and Haku was an alright specimen.

"Thank god! Hurry and warm up from the fire! I used my lightning to melt the snow and find wood!" she exclaimed. Haku fluffed her wine cooler. Damn, only one left. "So we need to find a way back... Any ideas?" she asked.

Miisha pouted. She felt weak, tired, now hungry, and now grumpy because of the girl's answer. Often when she was ill, there was always someone to be around to lift her to bed, tell her that she would get better, and take care of her. And all this girl had to say was go away?
" You're mean," Miisha grumbled. She did not crawl away from the girl, but instead lay down on her side about three feet away from her, facing away towards the stream.
" Well, my name's Miisha," she said aloud. " Just in case you care."
There was no answer. Miisha's head began to pound, making her feel terrible. Maybe using all that magic wasn't such a good idea. Feeling utterly miserable, Miisha began to cry quietly. At least she wasn't alone.

Nodoka rubbed her temples. It was impossible for her to go back to sleep. She was still freezing cold and soaked to the bone, plus, her dream wasn't going to be any help at all.
"Nodoka," she mumbled in answer to Miisha's introduction, about ten minutes too late. She stared at the wall and tried to make designs and pictures out of the dusty rock.
Who cares if she was mean? A little brat's thoughts weren't of any importance to her. She sighed and pulled her wet robes tighter around her body.
Still, she was filled with discomfort, and she was utterly bored. She scratched an itch on her leg, but as soon as she shifted back to resting position, the itch returned. And then there was one of the small of her back, but when she quelled that one, her left forearm started feeling itchy.
Nodoka scratched her arm, but then there was yet another one on her hip. Exasperated, Nodoka sat up, her wet hair flying wildly. She raked her fingernails over her skin and pulled her clothing nice and taut. There would be enough of that madness.
She glanced at the little girl. The girl's body shook violently, but she didn't make any noise. Every once in a while, she inhaled sharply. Nodoka pushed her glasses up to rest more comfortably on the bridge of her nose. Was she crying?
"Hey," Nodoka called. "What's wrong? Are you hungry?"
Babies usually cried when they wet their diapers or they were hungry. This girl was way out of her diaper-wearing stage, hopefully, so she was probably hungry.

Yuki doggedly continued towards that oasis.
"Stupid...water..come...closer..stop....moving.."

"Hey. What's wrong? Are you hungry?"
Nodoka said that. So that was her name. Miisha had heard it earlier, but she had not replied. This was the first nice thing she'd heard from the glasses girl in the last few hours. And in truth, Miisha was freaking hungry. She was also cold, weak, and miserable.
Miisha choked back, not wanting to seem needy, "I'm n-n-not hungr-ry, *sob* I'll be f-fine."
She wiped tears from her eyes. She so badly wanted a friend. Perhaps Nodoka would stay with her? Miisha hoped fervently that Nodoka would have a change of heart and stick with her. Darned tears. They just kept flowing from her eyes, and now Miisha had a nice puddle of tears and snot on the stone floor in front of her.
"I wanna go home," she whimpered. Weariness took over her, and in no time she had stopped crying, and went to sleep.

Yuki would continue to contain extremely short posts. At this point, the sun was high in the sky and threatened to burn the little girl's exposed skin. A lizard had just finished sunning and ran under a rock.
Sweat trickled down Yukis cheek and soaked her clothing. There were wet spots around her armpits and under her neck.
"Ef. Em. El."

Len quickly jumped into the fire (not literally.) He shivered, letting it warm him up. Oh gosh the warmth was ecstatic! He felt like just violently twitching and sleeping for 40 years. Actually he felt exactly like a baby. Set aside the fact that he was probably a million miles from home, or dead. One of the two. ....Well that didn't sound too fun.
He stood up and immediately clung to Haku, tiny tears forming at the corners of his eyes. "I missed you... an-and... do you know where we are exactly? I'm scared, and I want to go home, and I--" He instantly wiped his eyes off, once again serious, "Okay, right. We need to think of some ideas. How to get back to where ever we were before, and where everybody else is. Okay. Do you know any-- of course you don't. None of us can do that. Uh..!"
Len looked down at his hands, and rubbed them together. He had replenished his static energy, so that was good. It wasn't completely gone. He had something to protect himself with; he had Haku; and he most definitely had courage. Now, thankfully, she might just be sober enough to keep him company.
The boy looked left and right, then looked back at the fire, his eyes shining brightly with the light's reflection. "Okay. We should keep walking. Through the forest. There might be food in there. Like... animals we can kill, and fruit and berries, and we can melt the snow for water and stuff," He explained, counting on his fingers as he listed off each thing. He used to always watch those survival shows. Unfortunately, Len never paid much attention because he knew he'd 'never be lost.'
The worst part about this, besides actually being lost, was that he was separated from Rin. He had a feeling that she was very well indeed far away. It made him feel really lonely... almost like he was the last person in the world. Thinking of this suddenly made the boy feel very bad and grumpy.
"Come on Haku, I want to do this before it gets cold, and before I get tired again," Len said, making a 'come here' hand motion at her.

Haku nodded. She ran after Len. All of the sudden a man in a pickup truck drove towards them. "You guys come with me!" the man said. He looked like Akaito.

Len looked at the ground, his fists balled up as he was ready and prepared to go. He could hear Haku trailing behind him. Good, now they could definitely get there by nightfall. Wherever 'there' was? He tried to think of his course of action, when he heard a screeching noise.
Just as he looked up, he ran into the side of the truck, making a loud bashing noise. "BAH!" He stepped back. As he rubbed his face, he mumbled underneath his hands, "Stranger danger..." He had to always be careful of those CHILD PREDATORS.

Haku stared. "Do you have any beer or alcoholic beverages?" she asked. "I sure do!" the red-head replied. Haku pulled Len in the truck. She grabbed an Asahi and chugged it.

The girl was asleep, lying comfortably on the hard stone, her face a disgusting mess of tears and snot. Nodoka rubbed her temples, trying to understand how children could suddenly cry so much.
Was she supposed to wait for her to wake up, ditch the kid, or carry her? Nodoka probably couldn't even pick her up, let alone carry her. Besides, she didn't want to walk anyways. She'd stay right there as long as she wanted.
Ignoring her empty stomach, Nodoka curled up and fell asleep.
