Just when Shiro was starting to figure that his search was starting to go smoothly, the girl reappeared, smashing straight into him. He flew back a bit and landed hard on his bottom, yelping slightly.
"Who the heck are you?" the girl asked loudly, eyes wide and gaping. Shiro glared back up at her, his lips drawn into a thin, exasperated line.
"I should be asking the same," he complained. "I told you earlier: I'm the ghost that lives here."
He had no clue why he was still following up with that lie, but better say that then to say, "I'm a random kid who wandered in here while I was looking for my yokai familiar that looks like a bird."
Shiro didn't bother actually finding out who this intruder was. He glanced around, still hoping to catch a glimpse of his poor avian friend.
"Right," he muttered. "I'm going to go now. You should go home and leave me alone."
With that, Shiro pulled himself to his feet. He didn't bother waving or saying good bye. He just walked around the girl and entered the nearest room, figuring she would at least keep going down the hall if not return home.

Ryu glared at him and continued to folllow him after she got up."I'm Ryu and you are no ghost cause...you aren't floating..."she said as she followed him.

"Just because I'm not floating doesn't mean I'm not a ghost," he answered coolly. "Now stop following me."
Shiro did not bother introducing himself to the girl, despite her telling him her name. He really didn't want to share his identity to this stranger, and therefore wouldn't. Instead, he was hoping she wouldn't notice that he had feet. Maybe he shouldn't have said he was a ghost.
Pretending Ryu wasn't behind him, Shiro continued to search from room to room, but this time not calling out. If he told her he was searching for Tsubami, she might offer to help, and then would stay even longer.
"Go home," he said one more time, even though he knew she wouldn't listen.

Ryu glared and continued to follow him. "I don't go through you..."she said and then wondered something."Hey, have you seen a picture of a gold bird somewhere in here?"

(Your 2-3 sentence replies are getting increasingly difficult to respond to. I mean, your posts don't have to be long, but can they contain more... events?
If you didn't want to roleplay this one, you didn't have to make it.)
"I don't go through you," Ryu responded quietly, almost tiredly.
"And I don't care," Shiro retorted sharply. He could feel her glare on his back.
There were a few moments of silence as they trotted through the darkened corridors.
"Hey, have you seen a picture of a gold bird somewhere in here?"
Shiro stopped in his tracks, the girl following him smashing into his back. The boy turned sharply on his heel, staring intently at Ryu.
"What? I haven't. Where is it? Show me. Now."
There was no doubt in his mind that the 'gold bird' was his golden-feathered friend.

Ryu glared at him intensely."You are rude!"she retorted and then he had suddenly stopped and she smashed into his back and fell back, she then got up with a harder glare.
"Hey! What was that for!"she growled and then he said something about that gold bird.
"That gold bird...I saw a picture of it with some more stuff while I was looking in rooms to find you...also why would I show you! You don't deserve to see the pictures beauty!"she said turning away childishly.
((oh I had writer's block since I didn't have my laptop n now I have it! : DDDDDD )

In order to fight back rising anger, Shiro bit his lip. No use blowing up now. He exasperatedly ran his fingers through his stringy hair, breathing slowly and deeply in an attempt to calm himself.
"Can you just shut u...." Shiro paused and took another deep breath. "Can you be more specific? What is 'some more stuff'?
Not only that, but what do you mean I don't deserve to see the picture's beauty? You obviously didn't find it so beautiful since you were running and screaming like a maniac down the halls like a maniac.
The floorboards here are rotting and loose. You could have fallen and hurt yourself, you idiot. Now before you go running and glaring and screaming again, tell me, where are those pictures?"
Shiro returned Ryu's glare with equal intensity before taking a few steps back. He turned on his heel, preparing to continue down the hall, but after his first step, he fell right through the floor with a loud crash.
"Oomph," he grunted as he landed heavily on the concrete floor below.

Ryu sighed, she really didn't want to tell him about it but decided to for some unknown reason."There where some weird pictures on these demon type things, and it looked like some maps were in there with some of the same drawings of the gold bird..."she said after he fell through the floor.
Then she wondered is he was okay."Are you ok?"she asked going over to the place where he fell.

"What?"
Shiro stared up at the hole in the ceiling/floor, where Ryu was peering curiously down at him.
"Do you think I'm okay? I just fell, like, eight meters! I mean, of course I'm okay. I'm a ghost."
He coughed into his sleeve and helped himself to his feet.
"And you just made no sense so I'm going to go wander around by myself. See ya."
In the basement, there were cobwebs, old cardboard boxes, rusty doors and dust. Lots of dust. Lots and lots and lots and lots of dust. Shiro sneezed. Too much dust. Ew.
Shiro sighed. He had to start somewhere. His eyes starting to get used to the darkness, Shiro trotted from door to door, once again searching. This time, he was quite alone, for Ryu was still on the above floor.
He started to whistle a tune as he ran.

Ryu sighed and took a breath and then started walking, she knew she would find him again, she wanted to see those pictures of the golden bird again.

Which was funny because she ran away screaming from them earlier.

Ryu decided she wasn't going to be scared of the pictures anymore as she walked down the corridors trying to retrace her steps to find that peticular room with the maps and drawings. She would then go find Shiro again and then show him them, because she decided that.

Still blinded by darkness and dust, Shiro found himself rushing into many obstacles and accumulating a painful amount of bruises and cuts.
"I HATE this," he growled to himself. Panting, he slowly took another step forward and ended up stubbing his foot on a large, heavy, stationary object.
"OOOOOW!"
A blinding white flash appeared in front of his eyes.
"ARRRRGH!"
I really don't deserve all this abuse, he thought to himself.
The light moved away from his face, startled by his loud scream. As it created distance between the two of them, Shiro could see a small, fairy-like shape within the glow.
"You can see me?" it asked in a melodic voice, high and ringing like chiming bells.
"Yeah, I can," Shiro said, used to this kind of reaction. "Have you seen a golden swallow youkai thingy?"

Ryu finally found the room and looked around at all the pictures and maps and symbols wonderin what they meant when she saw a weird torch in the corner of the room, curiously she went over to it and poked it but to her surprise the wall opened up revealing stairs going down somewhere.
Being the curiosu person she was she walked down not caring about the dangers ahead as she steadily walked down.

The secret door turned and slid shut with a grinding, scraping noise. Ryu was left in the complete pitch blackness, descending deeper into the movie theater that for some retarded reason had a secret room with a flaming torch and a staircase.
At the end of the trip, the thin passageway opened up into a small, round room. A table sat in the center, with a single, three-legged stool resting nearby. Atop of the table, a blue and white porcelain tea set gleamed in a dim light cast off by a small candle next to it.
The room was otherwise empty. It was quiet and seemingly untouched, yet not a single inch of the room had a speck of dust.
Meanwhile Shiro was trying not to lose his temper as a small fairy buzzed around his head, exclaiming over and over again about how fine a specimen he was, being able to see youkai.
"Yes," he muttered with a tight, dry smile. "I can see youkai. I am amazing. Yes. Thanks."
"That is SO cool," the fairy giggled, floating gently onto his head. She nestled in his bangs and looked down at his face. "So, why are you here again?"
"Some impudent youkai kidnapped my familiar, so I'm going to exorcise them as revenge and get my friend back."
"Ooh," the tiny spirit said, impressed. "A hero!"
"Yeah," Shiro said, sighing and rubbing his temple. "So I don't have time to waste talking to you. I have to look for her."
"Well, you might need a fairy of my tiny stature! How about I help you?"
"And... What do you want in return? I'm not going to give you a body part or my life span."
The fairy merely laughed a tinkering, bell-like laugh. "You must have had a lot of experience with youkai to think like that. I just think you're interesting."
"Right." Shiro rolled his eyes, but strangely, he believed her. "Well, I haven't got all day, so if you're going to help me, then let's get going now."
