(LOL, like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, but yeah.)
In the quiet cave, a young girl lay, thoroughly exhausted and beaten up badly. She clutched the small treasure she had found earlier, but couldn't move to escape..she couldn't even move to do anything.
Suddenly, silhouettes appeared in the distance, moving closer.
"No..." The girl groaned. "Don't come closer.."
She was on the verge of unconciousness, ready to fade away. But she couldn't, not when she had found something so precious...if those scary things attacked her, what would she do-
"Dude, stop pushing," a voice complained, completely shattering the image of a scary monster.
"I'm not pushing at all! You're the fat one. Lose some weigh, piggy," a voice snarled back, somewhat scary sounding, but mostly just annoyed.
"What, how dare you?!"
The silhouettes came closer, and they began to take a more defined shape.
The two figures were a young man with green hair and goggles and a young-but-not-as-young man with dark hair and bandages. They were pushing and shoving and arguing with one another.
"Only telling the truth, fatty. You know, you sho- Hey, isn't that the girl who sent the mission?"
The young girl was shivering slightly in the corner. She had sent a signal with hermagical uber Vocaloid headphone mechanism.
The green haired boy rushed over.
"You're right! Hey there, girl.. We're here to save you. Please hold still.." The boy reached into his pocket and pulled out a badge, ready to shine the magic upon the girl.
"WAIT." The other guy pushed the boy to the side.
"What the hell?! What do you want?"
"Why do you always get to the saving? You glory-thief. Just because you're the leader, doesn't mean you always get to use the badge."
"Then use YOUR badge! Geez! Go ahead!"
"No way, you're letting me."
"Isn't that what you wanted?!"
The two bickered back and forth and the girl blacked out. As the two continued to argue, and rumble came from one end of the tunnel. A dark and huge silhouette filled the entrance of the cave, red eyes glaring.
"What is that?"
"Who cares, hurry and use the badge!"
"Hold on-"
The monster blasted a huge beam of power and attacked the two adventurers. With that strength the duo were slammed into submission and fainted.
Instead of choosing to stay for help like the girl had, the rescue team had chosen to get completely shot out of the dungeon. They lost half of their money they held with them and the team kit was left with three items. (The girl had chosen to send for help because she carried something precious. The team, on the other hand, did not carry particularly special items and did not want to shame themselves by sending for another help message.)
"Now you've done it, Taito-baka! We've fainted!" The green haired boy cried.
"What? How is it my fault, Mugi-bozu?" Taito shot back at Mugi.
"If you just let me use the stupid Rescue Team bad-"
"And let you take the glory again? No way in hell."
"Oh my god. Why the hell did I ask you to join me? You're a disgrace to Team Chikyuu."
"Well, there isn't much of a team. There are only of us."
"Shut up! Let's head back to the town square and withdraw more items from the storage."
Team Chikyuu left the entrance of the dungeon of where the girl was and decided to try at it for another day.
"You know what?" Mugi groaned. "We need more members. Let's recruit some before we head out again."
The poor girl fainted and waited for either Team Chikyuu to have another go at it, or for a more competent rescue team to save her.
