"Ahhh~!" Oliver yawned loudly, stretching his arms above his head while leaning back. He stood up from the worn out towel he always slept under, though he would always have trouble trying to keep his feet covered into them as well in his slumber due to its small size. He didn't mind using the soft sand as a bed, nor did he unlike the fact that it was the sun's rays peeking through the spaces between wooden boards above him that woke him every morning. He didn't mind sleeping under the pier overall. It was as if nothing in the world could bother him.
"C'mon, James! Get up, you sleepyhead!" Oliver beamed down at his feathered companion, whom was resting in Oliver's signature Captain's hat he's always worn, and apparently, still very tired, for all it did was ruffle its yellow feathers and curl deeper into itself. "Aye, lazy bird! Up, I said!" he giggled and shook his head, picking up the hat, and surprising the bird. James stretched out his wings before he flapped over to sit on Oliver's shoulder as he placed back on his hat. "I'm a little hungry, aren't you? All we earned yesterday was..." He checked his pocket. "Three quarters and a dime. Well, yesterday was a Monday, wasn't it?" James chirped while Oliver bent down to pick up his small violin, which he managed to grab after going back to where his house was located a couple days after the 'Incident'. "Yeah, I thought so. Everyone should be in a happier mood, today... But remember James, ya just have to keep smiling!" he stated optimistically, walking away from his single towel under the shade and stepping across the already hot sand of the beach, toward the city.
"Singing its silent song of misery, A monster lies in its own trapped nightmare," Oliver sang out loudly but gently, standing on a bucket to make himself taller and more noticed through the busy walking crowds on the streets of Tokyo. "He is a tyrant, he lets out a plea, 'Why did she have to leave it all alone?' " He stroked the fast notes on his violin gracefully, still able to keep his voice on pitch and balance the yellow bird that held out his hat for change for him on his shoulder despite his rapid arm movements . "Bound to sing it for us, a worthless monster, It never sees us, it despises us, Lying so useless, we start to holler, 'Hey! Get up, you worthless Circus Monst-!' Hey, hey, p-put him down, please!" Oliver cried out, stopping abruptly at the site of his best friend suddenly being snatched by a rather tall man, whom made an obnoxious laugh with his group as he carelessly swung around James in his fingers.
"What are ya gonna do about it, twerp?" the deep voice cackled, teasingly holding up the bird above Oliver so he wouldn't be able to reach high enough for James even when jumping, entertaining the gang and laughing deeply again when he tried. "Hand over all the money you earned, kid. Come on, cough it up." the man stated, holding out his free hand to Oliver. He obeyed immediately, digging into his pockets to only pull out a dollar and a half in coins. "...Is that it?" he sighed, placing the change in his pocket.
"W-Well, yes, sir... I'm sorry, may I have my bird back?" he pleaded in a quiver, feeling the tears well up in his eyes when hearing James's desperate chirps for help. He hasn't cried in so long.
The next thing Oliver knew, he heard a snap. His yellow hues shot open, looking up in horror. Thank Heavens, it was just his violin, not his bird. The pieces of his instrument was tossed to his feet, as well as his little bird, but he caught the yellow creature before it hit the ground, gently laying him on his head to rest and cover him with his hat, shutting away the tears that threatened to escape his eyes while picking up the pieces of violin. Oliver whimpered, biting down on his lip as he heard the loud laughs of the group walk away: His stomach was growling louder. "I'm so hungry, James..." he murmured in a tone barely above a whisper.

"Gyaah!"
The sounds of shouts of pain could be heard as well as beatings. Beth knocked her head into the guy that was picking on a little blond kid, making him fall onto the ground before she stepped on his shoulder with the heel of her pumps. "You think it's fun picking on a little kid?" She glared down at the guy, long and hard with disapproval. When her shoulder was grabbed, she tried to shrug it off, "Let go of me!" She used her bag to try and beat the guy that grabbed onto her before she decided to switch languages. "B*tch, better get yo hands off me!" Confusing the Japanese man with her English, she bashed his head with her purse and glared at the other guys, pulling out her pepper spray. "What? What? Got something to say? I'm an American, b*tch, say it to mah face!" She began causing a scene, scaring the guys. Have you ever seen an American causing a scene in Japan? Everyone will see what's going on. "Yeah! Better run to yo mamas! Y'all know y'all a bunch of p***ies! Suck on my non existent d**k!" She did a pelvic thrust as the guys got up and ran off. "Teenagers these days..." Beth fixed her bangs and her cardigan, before turning to the kid and his bird with her hand. "You alright?" Without waiting for a response, she grabbed his arm and pulled him up.

As Oliver was trying to attempt to put together his violin with no other supplies whatsoever, which was a usless attempt, he suddenly heard yelps and shouts of pain from the deep familiar voices of the men whom took practically all of the money he had with him. He glanced up to see a rather brave woman take on all of those men. Alone. He envied her at the moment, causing him to make a very small smile, but it dropped with widening eyes when seeing her snap into anger. He squeaked and hid deeper and deeper into his large coat with every curse word she made at them; he wasn't exactly scared, though. More like in shock.
Hearing the question, he tilted his head up to the woman who saved him, managing a grateful beam and open his mouth to reply, until he was pulled up without warning, using his free arm to hold the Captain's hat on his head, in turn, keeping James in it. Oliver blinked twice, nodding and smiling again as he did before, using his typical sweet voice when answering, "I'm quite alright, thank you, pretty lady~! Thank you very much for standing up for me and James out there, ma'am!" The bird peeked his head out from the hat he was under from the mentioning of his name while Oliver laughed happily, grasping her hand with both of his and shaking it eagerly. "I'm Oliver by the way, madam! This here is James, my best buddie." The bird chirped. "What is your name, ma'am?"

Unknown was walking when she saw bruised-up men run her opposite direction. Then she saw a young boy and an older girl together. "Why were they running from them?" Unknown got closer, and she overheard the young boy say that his name was Oliver and his bird was his buddy, James. "They sound familiar, I should go introduce myself." Unknown, the teen behind a mask, slowly walked up. Her attire was very ninja-like with fish net in her black wide V-necked sleveless shirt connected (by fish net) to black pants and fishnet gloves. Her mask was only a black surgical mask, so only her mouth and nose were hidden. She shyly began to speak to the two, well three counting James. "hi-o." Her shy, quiet voice was hard to take her seriously, but it was surely impressionable. Her pseudo-Japanese accent made her sound more inviting, even though she sounds like she is whispering everything she says. Her blushing was much visible, even without her mask on. Driven by her shy nature, she was able to successfully try to talk to them. Her smile, though it's always hidden, is hinted by the way one cheek sparsely rises.

"Ah, a foreigner," Beth smiled a little to being called pretty, returning the hand shake by grasping one of his hands that held hers, "It's not a problem. I'm Beth." Her eyes went from Oliver to James, nodding her head in acknowledgement. It wasn't any of her business, and she shouldn't ask, but he was just a kid on the street by himself. "Is there anything more I can do for you?"
Hearing something from the side, Beth turned her head and nodded to this girl dressed in...a ninja suit? Was there a convention this week? Beth was sure that they weren't anywhere near Shibuya or that one district kids like to hang out in, dressed up like...otakus... "Hello."

Oliver blinked twice and reddened with embarrassment; he couldn't possibly ask for more help after what she already did! Though, he did think it was such a kind offer. "N-no, thank you very much, madam. You did very much for us already..." He stuttered and murmured softly, but loud enough so his voice would be heard over the other loud conversations of city folk; he blush and sighed when his stomach was the same volume.
The blonde paused and looked over to the girl, whom was in a rather unique outfit, but being Oliver, he paid no minding or judging to her company, smiling sweetly instead. "Hello there, I love your outfit!" He giggled, "It looks really cool!" He stopped abruptly, his stomach growling again. The boy bit down his lip, turned away from the two females for a brief moment to look down and shush his stomach. "Shh!"

Shyly, she found the courage to speak her name. "My name... is Unknown." She has overheard their names, so she addresses them by their names respectively. Unseen, her smirk became a small smile. She knew her clothes were grotesque, but it reflected her personality, mysterious, illusive, and shy. She was about to say something about the guys, then she feels a big hand on her shoulder. Oh, Shit... a gorilla armed guy with a gun. Her unseen smile got bigger and she began to laugh. She yanks out a black wooden baton from her pocket and whips the guy's ass with it. He charges and Unknown's backflip was more than enough to evade the charge. The guy stopped and screamed. Five silver shuriken were lodged in his back. She jumps on his back and WHACK! Her baton knocks the brute out. She removes the shuriken from his back and drags him into the alley. She comes back, somewhat pissed they had to see that, yet it was no big deal. "Sorry you had to see that. Ditto for scaring you guys" Even with her mask on, you could tell she was greatly embarrassed.
She glances over at Oliver, seeing that the poor boy is starving. Her tender heart told her 'please, help him out'. She pulled a container out of her bottomless pit of a pocket. She cheerily, but gently gives the hungry blond her lunch. "I'll go to a burger shack later." The container held a large portion of leftover tuna salad with homemade cherry pie. *what a sweet kid* she thought to herself. She shyly tries to think of other words to say.

Beth, seeing what had just happened, pushed the bag back at the girl quickly, unsure as to what could be in there. "I think he'll be safer with me." She pulled the blond boy behind her, staring the girl seriously. After all, a stranger pulling out sharp weapons and dragging someone into an alley way was pretty suspicious. Something like that wasn't something you'd see everyday.

"...That was bloody brilliant." Was all the boy commented, seeing her swift movements and attacks. Oliver's eyes widened with surprise seeing the girl handed his own lunch to him. He yelped, shaking his head side to side. "I couldn't possibly just take your hard earned food, ma'am-!" The next thing he knew, Oliver was being pulled behind the first female, having a bit of a nervous expression at the way she was speaking to the other, being so defensive. He wasn't used to such interaction. "A-Ah, I'm safe, ma'am..." He stuttered.

"Okay." Knowing she has made the wrong impression, and losing trust with Beth. She puts her mask back on and backs away. Shen she turns around, the same beefy guy grabs her by the neck and throws her into a building. Close to death, but knowing there are other people around, she hesitates from defending herself.

Beth's eyes widened when Unknown was grabbed and knocked into a building before her impulses kicked in and she threw a punch onto to have her arm grabbed. Keeping in mind that her pepper spray was in the other hand, she pulled it up, barely even able to spray at the guy's guys, getting it knocked away as her neck was grabbed. Feeling a lack of air, Beth's pulse began to race as she gritted her teeth, doing her best to knock her head into the guy's face, feeling the impact on her own. She tried to push down the arms that grasp at her neck with her fore arms, but seeing as she doesn't have a good upper body strength anyways, she resorted to being a cheater, kicking him where it hurts. She winced, backing up and holding her neck from practically being choked, one hand going up to her nose that began to bleed.
Whistles could be heard from a distance. "Arrest him!" Beth pointed at the man as the police came running by.

Unknown slid down the building, heart rate almost to dead, her mask torn from impact, showing a bit of bleeding mouth. She got up, and she didn't look so good. She tried to keep her balance, but she was too weak to stand. She dropped on all fours, spitting and coughing uo blood, then falling completely. She couldn't move. Her hair and mask aheilded her face entirely. Quiet sobbing was heard. She was hurt. Bad. Was she dying? Probably because she was bleeding internally. "I'm... sorry I came and... ruined your lives." Her tears are both for pain and sorrow. She winced. "C-coul-" she was about to say more, but she became unconscious.

Oliver frowned slightly when seeing Unknown walk off,.yellow hues glancing down slightly until he jumped at a crash, looking back up, his jaw dropping. He was about to step forward to help her, but then Beth was in trouble. "Let her go! Let her go!" He cried out in panic, Oliver rushing to repeatedly hit at the man's back, but made no effect whatsoever no matter how hard he tried. "Let go, I say!" He repeated, a tone attempting to have him sound more brave, though the nervousness was evident in his voice. He yelped, seeing him stumble back, and the younger boy jumped out of the way to avoid being squashed. The blonde gulped and looked up to see his two new friends already injured. He gasped, immediately untying the bandages around his knee and ankle. "V-Very sorry!" He apologized for no reason.
