Name: Yokune Ruko
Age: 19
Rank: Utau.
Appearance:
Yokune is unusually tall for a Japanese girl/guy thing; he is six feet and five inches, or 197 centimeters. He towers over many people, girls and guys alike. Sometimes he enjoys the height difference for he feels superior, but he can easily be spotted in a crowd, which gets on his nerves.
Despite being mostly male, Yokune wears his/her/it's hair in long black pigtails with blue streaks decorating her left sideburn. Her headset is mostly hidden within her hair, but it is red with a blue illumination. She has no other hair decorations.
And the author is getting really confused with saying he, she, or it, so she's going to call Ruko a she from now on.
Yokune is heterochromatic; one of her eyes, the right one, is blue, the other red. She often narrows her eyes because she has a bit of trouble seeing, but she always forgets to wear contacts and would rather die than wear glasses in public.
Even though Yokune is mostly male, she enjoys wearing girl clothing and calling herself female. She wears a sleeveless dark blue coat over a sleeveless dress shirt, which is white. The coat has a red-pink trim. Her torso dressing is complete with detached sleeves and a blue necktie. Yokune has a thing for looking cool, even if it isn't always the most practical dress. She wears a single white glove on her right hand because she can.
Her black pants are very low cut, revealing her black string panties. To some, it may seem alluring, until they figure out that lowering the pants more means seeing her male genitals cupped by the scanty underwear. Like most VOCALOID, her pants are secured by a belt; in her case, blue. Her feet are encased in her black boots with pink soles.
Personality:
Even though she has the ability to sound like either a male or female, being both, she much prefers to use her female voicebank. In fact, her normal female voice is quite high, even higher than Teto or
Defoko. Her belief is, "The higher the voice, the more feminine the woman!" She doesn't tell people that notion since her parents laughed at her for saying that.
Yokune is a rough person, but altogether described as dere-dere. She loves romance, cute things, flowers, and dresses and can often be found in her room reading shoujo manga. Even then, her speaking patterns are considered boyish. Her favorite phrase is, "I like barley better than rice, you bastard!" In fact, she can often be heard calling other people bastards.
Some people believe that she is a Do-M because she loves to be petted like a cat. If you gently pet her, she will attempt to purr like one, mostly due to the fact that she herself absolutely loves kittens. She can handle much pain, but tends to stay away from sharp, pointy objects, and especially avoids hooks. She hates fishing.
Her favorite inanimate object is her coffee machine. Yokune loves coffee, but despite the copious amounts of the dark brown liquid she ingests, she is normally very drowsy. She sleeps often, relishing in
this past-time.
There is nothing Yokune hates more than being woken up without a reason. People who do this will get on her bad side, and while she is normally quite friendly, she will receive constant verbal abuse from
her. She also dislikes discussions about her gender. Our hermaphrodite usually insists she is female, despite her male sex organs hanging down in her nether regions. Mentions of bra-size and her chest will also anger her.
In addition, Yokune has a closet gambling habit. She won't admit this to anyone else, even her pet cat, Hana-tan. Yokune's favorite games include Blackjack, Solitaire, Mah-Jong, and the slots. She isn't very
good, however, and loses much money through this activity. It's a good thing for her that she is normally busy with her work.
Most of her money goes to custom-tailoring clothing that fits her height as well as looks cool and food. Yokune cannot cook for her life. She can only brew coffee and make instant tea. Yokune's main food is instant ramen, although she buys bento from the convenience store when she is "trying to eat healthier for a change," despite convenience store obento being even more unhealthy.
Because her own parents were a part of the same gang as Ryu's parents, they trained their lovely daughter so that she would join as a high ranking officer thingy when she was of the correct age. Yokune was into princesses and unicorns at the stage they introduced her to such things, and she rejected, resulting in her parents' extreme training.
Even though Yokune wears quite skimpy clothing, she will never wear shorts, skirts, swimsuits or dresses due to the scars on her body. There are many, but they aren't that bad, but she prefers to keep them hidden anyway. In Yokune's opinion, her body is gorgeous; except for those stupid scars. Therefore, she will show off as much as she can with minimal amount of makeup. Her scars were resulted from Daddy's Pain Training, which were small hooks inserted into the skin and pulled slightly so that Yokune would learn to deal with extreme pain.
Her father is of Japanese descent, and is very eccentric about such things as fighting and gangs. He has a respectable collection of knife-type weapons, such as swords, knives, scythes, etc. At this point, he is fighting pancreatic cancer and losing. Her mother, who is Irish, German, Russian and Bosnian, works to support the family, although her work has been made easier ever since Yokune has left the house.
The scars did not disappear, so Yokune decided she would never be a fairy princess and resigned to her parents' wishes. The training continued, but Yokune evolved into the slightly mentally-unstable person she is today. Over time, she even grew to love fighting, and carries a large scythe where ever she goes. In this day and age, that sort of weapon is useless, so she actually usually uses a specially assigned pistol while the scythe is for looks.
Today, Yokune has left the old gang, which had long since disbanded since Ryu's parents were jailed, or killed, or whatever Ryu decides to say this time around, and she works with Yuki as the Jack of the
Bleeding Hearts gang. She doesn't quite care for the title, since it is a male's name, and prefers to call herself the Jackette. Yokune's self-proclaimed title receives much ridicule, although the lower ranking
members don't dare laugh about it in front of her. They call her ‘Coat’ sometimes though.
Yokune stays with the gang for three reasons; she needs an income, she's grown to like fighting and doesn't want to switch jobs, and she has a low learning capacity. She can't attend university because
she can't pass any of the entrance exams. But then again, she didn't even make it into the lousiest high school, so of course she couldn't.
Often, Yokune curses her height. Although there are times when she feels that her height gives her an advantage and means that she is more important, there are many outfits she cannot wear. Especially
the cute clothing she loves, although it's not like she'd look good in them anyways. She usually settles for cool. Even though her chest is practically non-existent, she will NOT wear a male's clothing, lest she
be mistaken for a transvestite. It doesn't help.
RP Sample:
“Sh-shizuo-kun,” a shoujo manga heroine with large eyes gasped, her face quickly blushing into a deep scarlet. Her mouth was opened in a surprised "o" and she stared deep into her childhood friend's narrow, yet earnest eyes.
"Nana-chan," he whispered in reply, his face also red. "I've always loved you..."
Ruko fell back onto her bed, squealing in embarrassment. She held her shoujo manga, which was named something silly having to do with love and flowers. Her legs kicked excitedly.
"He confessed! He confessed!"
"Coat-senpai," a burly man bellowed, throwing her door open. He froze immediately afterwards, seeing the undignified state his superior was currently in. "Er..."
"Get out," Ruko shrieked, throwing her book at the intruder. "Who told you to enter a woman's room without knocking?"
"But you're not a woman, you're a--"
"GET OUT, YOU BASTARD!"
