Miku walked along the sidewalks of the crowded city that was Tokyo. As a Vocaloid, it was rare to have time to hang out with friends, walk around, or do something individual. Miku sighed happily. The weather was surprising very pleasant; not too hot or cold. It was as if Fall was here instead of Summer. She looked forward, studying the faces of passing pedestrians. She didn't recognize any one she actually knew. Basically, she didn't recognize a fellow vocaloid anywhere. Miku decided to go over to a video game store and sample some of the games being produced. Who knows, maybe she would bring one home tonight! Entering the store, she easily spotted Len, his golden-yellow hair tied in a ponytail standing out from the rest of the other people in the store. "Hi Len-kun!" Miku greeted, walking over to him. "It's been a while, hasn't it?"

It was a magnificent day. Yesterday, it was incredibly hot, and so tiring! Now that it was an actual fair-weather day, he could get out of the house and wallow around Tokyo.
Tokyo was a strange place. It was so different! You could expect to see anybody, anything, or nothing! Well not nothing. Something always has to happen. Yes. He wanted to find something cool during his visit.
As he passed by the quirky buildings, bold and boring buildings, all he saw were things that just didn't seem to spark his interest. The people seemed more interesting than the buildings and what slept inside of them.
Just then, something caught his eye. Jackpot! A video game store. That's exactly what he wanted to see. It looked not-so packed, so he went inside. The blond smiled happily to himself, a little bit of his boyish side kicking in. Ah, video games~ A good waste of time! That is.. if he even had the time to play them.
Not even a couple minutes of being in there, he heard a familiar voice call his name. He turned around, seeing the sure sign of teal pig-tails and a happy face. "Ah! Miku-nee~" He said as he headed towards her. Goodness, he hadn't seen her in such a long time! Len was glad to see a fellow Vocaloid. Especially Miku.
"What brings you here? I didn't really expect to see you!" Len said, chuckling softly, "And yeah, it sure has been a while. Darn busy-ness, eh?"

"Aha, yeah," Miku chuckled. "Guess it's just part of being a Vocaloid. Everything has it's pros and cons."
Miku smiled awkwardly at Len. It was really such a long time ago since they talked that it was awkward to even converse with him. Then she noticed that they were, in fact, in a video game store. "Len-kun, what kind of games do you like?" Miku asked him, trying to start up a conversation. She motioned him to follow her over to a currently-available console to play in the store. Wii, my favorite, Miku thought, giddy. She grabbed two remotes and gave one to Len. With that, she turned it on and started 'The Disc Channel,' the game loading.

"I guess you're right," Len said, studying Miku. Gosh what a joy he was getting from seeing those long pig-tails, and her familiar face. All he'd seen lately were just prehistoric old men and annoying girls that wouldn't leave him alone. Aahh. Shucks.
As Len followed Miku, he thought for a moment, then answered, "Oh, I like all kinds, but I especially like games with a tricky plot! Or something exciting!" He did have a habit of picking those kinds with the well-played out plot, with the right characters.
"I wonder what game are we going to play?" The young Vocaloid asked, holding the remote firmly. He liked the Wii, although preferred the PlayStation more.

"I hope it's something fun. It would be pretty sad if it wasn't," Miku answered, a little nostalgic of how this moment reminded her of playing video games when she was younger. "I like those too, but my favorite kinds are life-style games, like Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing!" Miku told him, giggling a bit. With that, she looked back onto the screen. Miku watched as the game loaded. Her face lit up when she saw the bright opening screen pop up. "Mario kart Wii!" Miku squealed, gripping the Wii controller harder. It was hard for her to control her excitement. She pressed the "A" button, and quickly navigated the game to a 2-player race. Miku looked over all the characters briefly, and decided quickly, picking the all-too-known Yoshi. While Len was picking a character, she looked over at him pleasantly. "What stage should we race on?" she asked, curious of what stage he might pick.

Len nodded, "It would." He didn't mind those life-style games, although they did get boring after a while. He figured she wouldn't be much too into the action-packed things. He could imagine Miku trying to be a farmer though. Her trying to grow leeks would be hilarious.
Len glanced at the screen, "Oh boy~" He loved this game, and was skilled at it, from weeks of non-stop playing. Rin complained to him about lack of sleep, so he decided to stop playing it. Good times.
He decided to choose Toad, since he had a liking for small cars. "This ought to be fun!" Len said, grinning, "Would you mind choosing the level?"

"Ah, not at all," Miku answered, a little anxious of what she should pick. She looked at Maple Treeway, and remembered playing this stage with Rin. "You wouldn't mind Maple Treeway, would you?" Miku asked, selecting it. The screen blacked out for a bit, and then loaded. The screen was split into 2, each displaying the characters picked. The starting tune was played, and then a count-off. 3, 2, 1, GO!!!

"Not at all!" Len said, holding the controller in his hand. He waited patiently for the game to load, while also trying to remember the controls. Which buttons did what again? Aaah. He could hardly remember this stuff. He heard the starting tune, and thus, the game had began. He was a little far behind, due to his forgetfulness, but had quickly regained speed.
[WOO SHORT POST. |D I've actually never played this game before. OTL ]

Miku had started off with a good boost, but quickly fell from 2nd to 5th. (There are 8 drivers.) Muttering a 'crap,' she aimed her focus at the nearest item box. The very short jingle was set, and then the item was revealed; a...banana peel? Huh. Miku let the item go, and was then pleased to hear a car slip on the item. Now from 5th, to 4th.
(Gameplay's make the RP small, orz. And I've never played this game either, lol.)

(Yeah. ; u; So small!)
As Len was moving to Sixth place, his car happened to slip on a banana peel. Aah, now he was hungry for a big box of yellow bananas.
His hunger and day dreaming somehow managed to get him into Fifth place. He wasn't really picking up any boosts or item boxes. He had his own tactics, strangely, they worked. Just as he was heading into Second place, he crashed into the side of the track and skidded back to a lower place. Then the race was finalized.
"Ah well that was unfortunate," Len said, making a face at the screen.

"You can say that again," Miku replied, looking at the screen with sudden amusement. She watched as the selection screen popped once again, displaying a 'Replay?' Miku selected the 'No,' and returned to character selection.
"Strangely enough, after I get over my excitement of playing video games, I instantly get bored with them after, what, 1 try," Miku said, putting down the Wii remote. She looked over at the available systems; seemed that the majority of everyone in the store left to enjoy the rest of the day. "Wanna try another one? You pick," Miku said, smiling. Now that she thought about it, she never actually knew what game system Len really liked. Rin seemed like a Wii person.
Well, it was a good time to find out.

Len nodded, "Sure!"
He glanced around the room, studying the video game displays that they had up. Then again, each system had either a game that was too boring, or one just like the game they had played not even a minute ago.
He turned and smiled at Miku, "Well, uhm since we're in Tokyo, perhaps we could do something else? I mean, if you wouldn't mind?"

"Well, I would probably like that better right now," Miku answered to Len, turning towards the door.
Miku walked over to the door and pulled it open, instantly feeling the hot weather heating her skin. It felt...sicking to her; as if she was dying, as strange as it sounded. She shut the door immediately with force.
"Aha, maybe we should decide where to go first," Miku chucked, rubbing her head embarrassed.

Len followed Miku towards the door, and once she opened it, it was almost as if his skin was being melted off of his arms. How had it gotten so steamy and brutally warm outside? Thank goodness for the air conditioning inside!
"Well, do you have anything in mind?" Len asked, hoping that while they spoke of their plans, the air outside would become ... hopefully more cooler.

"Well, honestly, not really," Miku answered, trying to think of somewhere to go before it got awkward. "Hey, where do you want to go? At this time of day, I'd go look at animals at the pet store, but it's a little too hot for that," Miku told him. "...Unless you don't mind the heat too much." Miku checked her watch. "..5:21"
