Rin grinned at him. She loved his little grin. She thought of it as his special grin for her. They way to reassure her everything was fine, and that he still cared. Childish, but Rin didn't care. She wondered if she would ever be this close to someone, in a more intimate setting, and when that did happen, what about their relationship? She'd always have Len, right? She focused again on what Len was saying.
"Of course I know! I already did a little bit of research...but I can't decide between a cat or a dog! It's such a tough choice!" Rin said, sheepishly admitting she'd already put thought in without Len's go ahead, which felt like she was betraying their partnerhood.
Rin blushed, something she rarely did in the presence of her twin. She was, although she knew the answer, let down he didn't really need anything. She was a bit embarrassed to voice the thoughts that plagued her.
"Well, you see...I feel like you, well, that you, well, that I..." She stuttered her way through her first sentence, before taking a breath and beginning again.
"Well, I'm trying to say this, I feel like you are always helping me out, and I never get the chance to help you out, nor can I take care of you like I do!" Rin said, her eyes closed so she could say this. She was afraid she sounded selfish, or this would hurt Len in some way. She peeked out of one blue eye and her twin.
"I just want a chance to say thank you for everything...you always seem so stressed when you get back from work, and haunted by something, and I always ask favors, which you always do...and, I want a chance to help you!"
Rin wasn't sure who was biologically older, but Len always acted the older sibling. Even when they were younger. And Rin loved him for that.

Len thought for a moment. So she'd already went and did the research. It kind of seemed like she'd been wanting this for a while. "Well let's see. We'll have to see which one is easier to take care of." He shrugged, not exactly sure on this one. Cats were a bit messy with their 'duties' but were essentially clean and quiet. Dogs were a noisy and clumsy, but were smarter at things. A good source of protection too.
He giggled a little at Rin's stuttering. She was having a lot of difficulty trying to explain this. Then she'd finally managed to get it. He frowned at what she said. Did she feel as if she wasn't doing enough for him? He'd always thought, as the male of the two, he was the one who had to do all of the 'take caring of them' stuff. Maybe he wasn't doing enough to impress her... or was he doing too much?
Len was about to say something, but she had already done that. Oh! He didn't want her to feel guilty for not doing something she didn't even have to do. He laid his head on her shoulder, and laughed, "Rinny~ You don't have to think so hard on stuff like that. I don't need anything from you, except a really nice sister who I can depend on when I actually do need something. Someone I can tell anything to, or hug me when I'm down..."
Len sat up, and looked at her, "If it makes you feel better... I'll make you a deal. When we go to get that pet, we can get a dog. Since I personally don't really like cats. How about that?" He still had a thing against those furry little things. Especially the ones with sharp claws. Ouch.

Rin nodded her head and rested it against Len's. She put her arms around him and absentmindedly played with his little ponytail. She knew that was how Len was, always wanting to protect Rin, and that was how it was supposed to be. But it still seemed to not work.
"I know Lenny." Rin said, using her pet name for him. And that was true. She did know. "I'll try to be that sister" Rin said, hugging him to emphasize her point.
Rin looked into Len's blue eyes with her own matching ones, searching for something. She felt a smile tug at the corner of her mouth when she heard his deal, she had found happiness again. She wouldn't mind a dog, something cute and adorable...but big and fun would work as well.
"Deal!" Rin said, smiling. She then reached behind the couch and picked up a plastic bag. "Now that we have that all settled, let's play something!" Rin said, smiling at her twin.

Len knew she'd understand. It'd be quite odd if she didn't, and he'd suspect her of lying. Rin never lied to him, any ways. So it was no problem.
He watched Rin peer at his eyes of the matching color, as if she were trying to get something out of his stare. Luckily she'd obtained a smile that always, even after this long, still made his heart thump faster.
Len grabbed her hand, wrapping his pinkie around hers, "Right, then it is a deal~" He then chuckled, "Of course!" Well, time to waste 3 hours playing games like most teenagers do on regular school/work days. After his long day of work, it was like a giant buffet of relief, and he didn't mind a single bit of it.

Rin shook her hand, his pinkie still in hers and gave a small smile. "Deal" she echoed, solidifying the motion.
Rin smiled and laid out the games on the table. They ranged from RPGs to first person shooter, to racing; she even had the new Vocaloid based game! She spread them out and turned back to Len.
"I bought them...you choose one!" She said, settling back down on the couch, her blond head turned to her twin. "Or is that do hard?" she asked, ruffling the spiky quaff at the front of his head.
(the author of this loves the word quaff...XD so I used it! ^^)

(I have no idea what a quaff is. LOL xD I'm gonna assume it's a hair style <3)
Len put his hand on his mouth, staring in awe at all the different sorts of video games she had brought. "Oh gosh, how could I decide?" He closed his eyes and randomly placed his hand down. Blinking his eyes open, he'd seen that his hand was touching a game with a rather colorful cover. Ooo, it was one of those party-game ones. He liked these. They were a lot of fun to play.
"Okay, let's play this one~" Len said happily. He got up and opened the case by lightly tearing off the plastic. Then he pulled out the disk, looking for the game system that it went to. Most of these kinds of games were for the Wii, because it was a lot more fun, and it was easier to throw something, or move it around, with the kind of technology the system used. He turned the television on to the channel it was supposed to be on, and put the disk in.
Len handed Rin the player one remote, "You can be one today, since you got the game!"

(it's the part at the front ^^) Rin smiled, Len always did that to decide! How predictable. She looked at the game he had 'chosen' and smirked. These were quite fun to play; mindless and entertaining just what they needed! She watched as he set things up and handed her a remote, blinking, and listening to him.
"Oh...sure! Well, let the games begin!" Rin giggled in that evil way of hers and selected the game on the channel and pressed start. She waited as they ran through the opening scenes of warning, copyrights and more. Finally they got to the entrance sequence.
"Ready?" Rin asked as the loud and somewhat obnoxious music started to blare.

[ Oh!! xD ~]
Len nodded, ready to get play. The thing that made him love playing games with his sister, was that they never knew who would win. It's like playing against yourself. You don't know how it will turn out. It really depended on whoever accidentally did what, or what the certain game threw at them.
He waited for the credits and such to go through, then the game was beginning to start. "Yeppers!" He said, crossing his legs Indian-style. He wondered what made this game different from the others. Well, there was one good way to find out!

(gah, I wanted you to say that! I'm not good at these games! I've only played one! XD)
Rin grinned and went through the tedious process of making a save game account. The Mii they used was Ren, the side-parted, white-clipped, pony-tailed blond they used when doing a joint account. It was a harmony of the two. A perfect mix.
Rin watched as the save circle wound its way around she shifted to sit cris-cross apple sauce. When playing games, the two looked the same, completely absorbed. She brushed some hair away and heard the ping of a successful save, and the screen went black to prepare.
"Wouldn't it be cool to be sucked into the game to play as real characters?" Rin voiced aloud.

Len switched the remote to his right hand for a moment to wipe the sweat that was on his other hand, then switched back. He looked over to Rin, his eyebrow raised, "To get sucked into the game?" Oh gosh, that would be scary! What if the creatures in the games killed them? Would they get a re-do or something? He couldn't help but to think on that for a long while. "I think it would be pretty neat, if maybe... the game was about eating a bunch of food, sleeping, and doing nothing all day." He chuckled.
The first part of the game started. It was a simple throw/toss game. Basically all they had to do was toss a couple base-balls into a bucket. Something rather normal. He bit his lip, trying to concentrate on the screen. The game itself wasn't that challenging, seeing as it had just begun. It was bound to increase in difficulty later.
"Get ready to be beaten~" Len said with a sly smirk.

Rin vaguely nodded her head. "True...but if you weren't killed that would be cool!"
The small blond focused on the game. A simple one to start...unless things picked up...Rin sighed and adjusted her grip.
"There is no way I'm losing to you Onee-chan!" Rin said starting as the start flashed across. She picked up a baseball and tossed it into the bucket.

Len also gave a vague nod, "Totally."
He managed to get thirteen of them in, and lost... well, god only knows. He looked up at the timer in the corner of the screen, seeing that there were only five seconds left. He looked to their scores. Dang, he only needed one more too!
Carefully, he tossed the last one. It clunked against the side of the bucket, and flopped to the floor. "Gosh, looks like you beat me at the first game," He said, scratching his chin. By one point. He giggled at the thought. There wasn't a single thing they did differently. Unless you count those gender clashing things. He shook his head, and looked back up at the screen. What was next? It was... some sort of dodging game. He took a quick moment to view the instructions, then pressed play.
"This is so much fun," Len said as they waited. It wasn't like he could do this every night. So it sure did feel great.

(no problem! I understand, school, no inspiration...)
Rin spent the introduction to the next game gloating her win (so what if by only one point?) to her twin. She was surprised herself. She swore his had gone in and tied.
Because of her pride, she missed the instructions, and was off to a bad start at the dodging game, her controls messed up. She scrunched her face in concentration and focused on catching up to her twin.
"I...can't...lose!" She said, trying to narrow the gap in score, 15 seconds on the clock.
The timer went off and she frowned. One point behind.
"evens right now..." it would be interesting to see if either could win against the other.
